Absolutely disappointed with the lack of understanding and customer service from THE OWNER. Placed an order and paid in full. The owner took my order and payment but failed to inform me that there was a 50% non-refundable fee. I had called back to cancel the order the same day a few hours later and at that point informed me of the non-refundable fee. The owner stated the policy was at the bottom of the receipt after I already paid. I asked for a full refund since I was not made aware of the policy and would have been positively certain of arrangements with my step daughters graduation dessert. I informed her of the full situation and asked for compassion. The owner then compared reciting business policy to that of Wal-Mart “you don’t expect Wal-Mart to recite their policy every time you make a purchase I don’t do that every time an order is placed either.” She stated my order being in the book cost her potential business. I told her I understand as a business owner you get last minute cancellations and that costs you money which was why I was extending the courtesy of canceling as soon as I knew I did not need the order. She then Went on to say in other words the the time she had to spend on the phone with me was a cost to her. She said she would go as high as refunding 75%. I told her I thought it would be fair to be refunded the amount paid less the credit card processing fee for the inconvenience. I asked her how much the fee was and She went to go check numbers and came back saying the most she could do is 75% and that she did not have to disclose the account fee to me which is the owners right. The order had not been worked on and no special items had to be ordered to complete my purchase. I had simply just booked an order for May 28th. I paid roughly $116 and was refunded $87. I had to plead with the owner and make a federal case out of the issue for several minutes in order to be shown some compassion. I don’t expect special treatment but this was not the typical last minute cancellation and I was NOT made aware of a 50% non-refundable fee. With major corporations it’s common knowledge you have a Grace period for full refunds with restrictions. This is a small business and I was treated like major corporations treat their consumers!
Update: Filed a disputed transaction claim with my credit card company and was fully reimbursed. Still very disappointed the owner wasn’t able to resolve it at her level. Recommend...
Read moreIf I could give this bakery 0 stars I would! We used to come in all the time for the cupcakes which taste good but aren’t AMAZING like you can easily find at more upscale successful local bakeries and not this joke of an establishment. I went in last night to see if they would allow me to purchase two small cardboard cake rounds, as we are unable to afford an expensive cake for my toddlers birthday, we opted to make it at home this year. Without knowing that we frequent this bakery and usually buy a dozen cupcakes at a time, the young girl behind the counter gave me attitude and replied sarcastically that she couldn’t sell me two small pieces of cardboard for whatever reason. Upon leaving the store she chuckled to herself and made the whole situation very uncomfortable. Not to mention I wasn’t greeted to begin with and she had me stand and wait while she finished up her conversation with her friend that was visiting. 🤦🏻♀️ To be frank, you lost my business as well as every recommendation I’ve been asked for in regards to a bakery. Your bakery was the reason I began making my children’s cakes at home. I had messaged you 2 years ago for a custom birthday cake and after minimal communication, the owner just decided to not make the cake I guess and ceased communication with me. One, if you’re going to charge an arm and a leg for your cakes, maybe add a bit more creativity to them or skill? Two, if you’re going to continue making boring, expensive and homemade looking plain cakes… you should really work on your customer service and business keeping skills. From reading these reviews, I am not the only lost customer of yours to have an issue with all of the above. Below I’ve attached what a cake worth half the price you charge looks like and the creativity you may want to start adding to yours. I feel bad for the people who think y’all are the bees knees, because they’ve clearly never seen a baking show. Oh an these are also cakes I made since y’all couldn’t get back to me about making a sugar skull cake 2 years ago. Thank you for the...
Read moreI got a cake for my birthday I was looking forward to the cake and the taste of chocolate, well I got neither.
A cake baked from scratch you taste the ingredients and has a consistency crumbled fall apart. I’ve baked plenty of cakes myself birthday cakes, cheese cakes, carrots cakes, pineapple upside down cakes, chocolate cake, English sponge cake, Tres leche cake.. many cakes. The cake that was sold to my poor husband from this place was not a good quality cake. The cake I got for my birthday was made from a box cake mix due to the consistency the cake did not hold together it fell apart into crumbs that doesn’t happens to a cake made from scratch it’s moist with a bite to it but doesn’t fall apart into crumbs. I’ve had cakes from some of the best bakeries in the U.S, Lucibello's Italian Pastry Shop, Rocco’s Italian Bakery both in Connecticut, from CIA in NY, from Chicago Michelin Star restaurant ( restaurant that use the highest quality ingredients) believe me when I say the cake was not a cake made from scratch. I was so disappointed and annoyed that they passed the cake as a bakery cake more for my husband who thought he bought a good quality cake Shame on you for fooling people!!
Don’t be fooled the cakes are not from scratch not much effort are being put in this place they are not baking bakery cake, which should be from scratch it’s what you are supposed to be paying for a...
