I went in with my oldest daughter today for lunch. We were immediately greeted and told to sit wherever we'd like. The atmosphere had a very homey feeling. We had a hard time deciding what to eat because the selections were appealing and we were definitely hungry! I got the fried chicken No Cap Wrap with tots and my daughter got a beef Williamson Philly with tots. The wait was not long at all to receive our food once we placed our order. FYI: the prices were great as well! Our first reaction when the food arrived was, "it looks just like the picture!" How many times does a person get this experience? We took half of each other's sandwiches to try each others. Honestly, half could fill a person up; however, we found it hard to stop eating. I wish I had pictures, but I didn't take any. Trust me on this; the food looks just like the picture!!! The flavor was even better! We left nothing....I mean no crumbs🤣 The philly had this sauce on it that gave it an extra kick. You could taste everything in the wrap, and one flavor didn't overshadow the other. I often complain that other than a home cooked meal, it's hard to find something good to eat in town. Well, Camo Caravan is that something good to eat; give them a try and...
Read moreI have a soft spot in my heart for veteran run businesses, as I serviced in the US Army for four years. We found this little "hole in the wall" on a recent trip to Hopkinsville to view a potential employer. We were called to from across the dining room to sit where we liked. There were very few options, so we sat near the door. Our drink order was taken very swiftly. There was only one server for the whole joint (I noticed the cook brought out several orders in support), and she maintained control marvelously. I ordered the Caravan Burger with bacon. That's 2 generous smash patties, cheese, deli slices, and a buttery grilled bun. I have included a picture. Wifey ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. There was a lot mixed into the grub that came in that airy deli bun. The flavors of the cheesesteak were very strong. She felt it was the best cheesesteak she had ever encountered. The burger was delicious, although a little overdone for my pallet; strong char on burger and bun. Honestly, from the parking lot, we were a bit concerned that we were to be disappointed, but the place was packed. Not much could have made the visit better. It is obviously a local favorite hotspot. I will return if ever in...
Read moreI will say the caravan burger pictured is really good. The wrap pictured was fine too. They have a cheese beer sauce for the fries that has a unique flavor for dipping, also good. The waitress did not really seemed concerned about helping though. Not eating here before, we stood around for a bit, before she finally said just sit wherever. When we sat not knowing anything, after a while she was like the menu is up at the front and pointed to a sign, then was like "I guess I can give you a menu" ( that does tend to help when ordering). After finishing, throwing away our stuff and sitting around again for a bit, we walked up for the receipt. The owner, who made the food was friendly and helped suggest things. So yea, food good. In fact the burger was one of the best I've had around this area, if not the best. The service, at least we had a little I guess. For this reason 4 stars, otherwise may have gave it possibly 5 star review. Could have just been my experience, but it's an honest review. Bad service to me can ruin a experience for myself. I would go back for that burger though. Great...
