China King — Restaurant in Hopkinsville

Today was THE LAST TIME China King of Hopkinsville will ever get another dime of my money! I know they will still be in business. But they do not do GOOD business. I have ordered from China King many many many times and I have been disappointed. The thing I should have done a long time ago was to STOP going there. STOP giving this restaurant the benefit of the doubt. STOP giving this restaurant MY MONEY. Hey, I get inflation. I understand with inflation China King had to increase their costs because that’s the world we live in today. If it was GOOD Chinese food it would be justifiable. But China King is not good Chinese food. It’s average. At times, mediocre. Today, took the cake!!! My gravy for the egg foo yung was swimming, drowning in oil. I poured off as much of the oil as I could. My dish was burned and it tasted bland. Every single time I order it, it comes with WHITE rice. In the front of the menu, it says “with white rice.” I called the restaurant and as usual, “the lady” is usually, rude, short, curt. She hands off the phone to a man and he ends up telling me I can come back for my white rice. Who has time when it’s your lunch break? Maybe I should have checked the bag. Okay……but I still would not have known my $20 lunch would not taste good. Oh, and did I mention..,,,,they will do anything from putting my food in an oyster pail??? I would not recommend this place to anyone. That’s the point of my review. I have decided to invest in a WOK, maybe take a class, or get some good cookbooks and make my own Chinese takeout. I will not eat here again!!!

No, “my friend” did not order my food. Please let it go. I posted a review after eating here several times. Giving this restaurant a chance, the benefit of the doubt. My desire is not to shrink your clientele. I wanted it to be known, you have lost my business and why. Thanks! ...

I am a long term customer of this establishment and never had a problem until today. There was a guy who attempted to take my order and instead of being helpful he was trying to act important and give me a hard time. I order the same dinners each time for my family and he said the meals could be cooked six different ways hahaha really I have been a customer for six years and You are the first clerk who said this. Okay you want to appear important. You are not a doctor lawyer or Indian Chief. You are just a worker at China King ummm not a rocket scientist. There are 50 or more Chinese restaurants between here and Nashville. Matter of fact I am eating at one right now yum!! So I boycott this establishment and will notify my friends and colleagues. When your workers fail to give exceptional customer service you lose lose lose. Lose profits the business closes and than you are...

Placed an order and was told 45 minutes. An hour later told he was almost at my residence. 25 minutes later still no food. Called back and placed on hold 3:42 later told "oh were running late". When I asked to cancel my order I was then told we'll tell our driver. When asked if they would refund my card they were not sure. After 3 more minutes told they possibly could and I should be more patient. 5 minutes after I hang up the driver appears and stated, " I didn't know you needed this sooner or I would have chose a better route." All this as he twirled the bag of food in his hand. I refused the food, even after he offered to go ahead and charge my card for the cold scrambled slop in his hand. I was a frequent customer...
