I give this place a 10 out of 5! 🤣 Seriously though. Eating at Da Vinci was one of the best dining experiences I've had in my life! I only thought I knew what real Italian food was. I like Olive Garden, but this place makes Olive Garden look like the McDonald's of Italian Food. Yes. It's that good. Bring cash or your check book. In true Old World style, they don't take credit cards. My husband lived in Italy for about a year while he was in the Navy. He said the food was just as tasty as he remembers. That is no surprise considering that the chef/owner is half Italian.... and you hear it when he speaks. He migrated to the US from Italy. His mother was Italian, and I think the hostess said his father was from Czechoslovakia. We arrived before they opened for dinner and waited, so were first in. It's a good thing we were. By the time we got our appetizers, the restaurant was beginning to fill up and when we left, they had a waiting list. The dining room is not set up to allow a lot of people, so it wasn't loud. We didn't have one waitress. All of the staff checked on and served all of the tables. They were all very pleasant and seemed happy to be there. They do take reservations, so I'd suggest making reservations if you don't plan to be there between 4:30 and 5 to get a table. Most of the entrees range between. $12 and $20 with some like veal and steak being higher priced. I've included pictures of what we ate. The pictures loaded backwards. Definitely go to Da Vinci. Date night anyone?

We've been going here for years, it's a spot that's always on our short list of best spots to eat...biggest problem is that it's up in Hopkinsville and very easily forgotten about. But don't let that stop you from checking them out. Before you go you have to check the hours. We went on a Tuesday night, a night that the other location at Novadell was closed and I think that created a frenzy of people who wanted to eat here, the place is not big and it's not staffed with a high volume of employees, so that's a downside. We arrived and were told it would be a 10-15 minute wait but that changed due to some of the issues that I mentioned before. HOWEVER - The food is absolutely delicious!!! So very, very, very good. My wife ordered the Pollo Alla Parmigiana (Chicken Parmesan) and I ordered the Shrimp Capellini Toscana. We always start off with the bread and oil appetizer, which is normally fantastic, but this time they didn't have a chance to make their normal bread...so it wasn't as good. Everything about our food was great. From the house made sauce to the fresh flavors in the meals. Really good food comes out of this kitchen. Stop in, order a meal, and see for yourself!

This is a small town Italian Restaurant. We went for lunch. The service was adequate. I ordered the Fungi pasta and the wife had eggplant parmesan. Two house salads. The house salad was red onion cherry tomatoes and mixed greens house dressing unavailable at noon. The balsamic vinaigrette was good but the salad was small. The Fungi Pasta was sun dried tomatoes, garlic, olive oil , parm cheese base with 3 types of much rooms. Was told it came with angle hair pasta but came with Linguini. It was tasty but bread was not served with pasta😒 . It came 5 mins later upon request. The eggplant 🍆 parmesan was ok but nothing to write home about. The servings were sizeable and overall well prepared but only rate a 3⭐.

September 30, 2022 date of event. DeVinci's Italian Restaurant is NOT McDonald's or Olive Garden, so don't expect a low quality staff, so so food or bad service. DeVinci's Italian Restaurant deserves a MUCH HIGHER RATING!!!

You want EXCELLENT, come here! You want fast, go to McDonald's/Olive Garden. (Reservations are good here. If you just walk in, you might be on the wait side.) BUT WELL WORTH IT! tip ... Have an appetizer and spread your meal out! EVERTHING IS EXCELLENT!!!! THEY ARE SO GOOD EVERYONE MAKES RESERVATIONS, VERY POPULAR! Upon arrival: Greeted Nicely, Handled other guests with their needs. Wait time (when busy) seems average 25-30 minutes to be seated. While waiting: restaurant looks clean, no ugly smells, no trash on floor. Not ridiculously loud. Did not have to scream to hear each other. Table not covered but no biggy. Small restaurant. Their parking is limited. However we found some unmarked parking next door. **From other guest waiting next to me, Food is worth the wait, some scheduling issues, (what Restaurant doesn't have staff issues) Chef actually is from Slovakia but his blood must be Italian!

(You don't stick to the floor! Like other places)

Appetizer, Very good just right for a pre meal - tease! "Caprese" Ordered bread and oil House salad with Romain lettuce Looks fresh nothing wilted. Bread and oil is sliced bread but in strips; very good, nice and crisp GREAT flavor . MAIN MEAL Veal,  Mushrooms and Spinach is OUT OF THIS WORLD EXCELLENT! My Husband had Shrimp, Muscles and very tender Scallops ALSO OUT OF THIS WORLD EXCELLENT!!!! EVERYONE IS FRIENDLY In reflecting upon when I serve my guests,  (I Serve 5 star personal meals to selective folks ) they understand the vast difference between Good vs Fast Most restaurants in the Northern part of TN and Lower KY do not understand Good. Good quality, Flavor, Genuine Italian,  like many that have come here before me, Just can't find the words as to the EXCELLENCE of DeVinci's. If it were possble to get a perfect score they hit an all new HIGH RATING with me! My "hat" is off to this Chef and Staff! ALL NEW HIGH RATING 10 STARS

(For some of you that must have wine with your meal, yes they have that too. But if you don't drink YOU WILL NOT MISS OUT ON EXCELLENT FLAVOR! NOT ONE THING WAS WRONG!) DeVINCI'S is a Diamond in the ruff. It did not fall on "no taste buds" here. ART WELL DONE! This is not like Moma makes around here. THIS is where you take Moma to Dinner because she deserves it. Be careful though,  it just might spoil her! Food was not good ... IT WAS DECADENT!!!! EVEN the REAL Mashed Potatoes are Excellent! BEAUTIFUL BUTTERY GOOD!

To coin that popular phrase, I WILL BE BACK! IN THIS ORDER! I rate DeVinci's Italian Restaurant #1 OVER #2 Paula Deen's, Nashville TN #3 Ruth Chris Statehouse, Mobile AL #4 Pats of Henderson, Lake Charles LA #5 Storming Crab, Clarksville TN ** Even though all Restaurants above have different atmospheres, when you take away the fancy table cover, the plastic bib, location, things on the walls ... You have the #1 Restaurant in the South (covering at least 800 miles) and you have ... DeVinci's Italian Restaurant located in the heart of Hopkinsville Kentucky.

P.S. When I write reviews, I bring it to the table so to speak. Honest, true to the heart, and mostly to the pallette (taste buds) One very popular Chef puts it, "Its all about the Tongue!" Yes Chef it really does! I once thought that to be an obscene statement but really? Take that word out and you have something that will delight any picky taste buds! When I cook I expect my guests to enjoy every bite. DeVinci's Italian Restaurant does just that to this picky...

We had booked a large group for my business team and had to change our date due to the owners son having a birthday. Not a problem, we get that. Our group ended up shrinking to only six of us. Our day came around and we were promptly sat down and the hostess and servers were all very nice. We placed our orders and decided to get appetizer of bread and oil. So far no issues. We then ordered, three of us ordered the Fungi house special. It was pasta with three types of mushrooms and then we all added chicken. One ordered the Filet Mignon and the two others ordered Bistecca Grigliata (steak dish) with whole potatoes. We finished, paid and went on our way. About an hour later, I ended up getting sick. I thought maybe it was just me but when I spoke to the others who had the pasta/mushroom they all had the same issues. I asked how the Filet Mignon was and was told that it was one of the worst they have ever had. Unfortunately she did not want to cause an issue and I wish she would have brought that up. The other two Steak dishes they said tasted good. I'm Italian and come from a big Italian family and I have never had food like this where most of the party was disappointed and even got sick. It's hard to find good Italian restaurants in the Hopkinsville area so I was really looking forward to this. Keep in mind Filet Mignon $59.27, two other steak dishes $47.84 each. Those prices may be in line with what they would cost but not for the quality we received. The pasta (Fungi) was $21.84 plus $2.08 for chicken. The prices on all of this made no sense but this is what we were charged. Again the service and atmosphere was great but the food lacked taste and quality as well as getting most of us sick. I still tipped them very well 25%. Just Very...

Please be aware of this place and the service. I had made reservations for 4 adults for 6:00 pm 20 Dec 23 to celebrate my wife and myself anniversary. We got the to establishment at 05:55 and got seated close to 7:00 pm but not before the lady attending said they were our of red sauce and only had Alfredo sauce but had everything else and that we could leave if we wanted to. We agreed kindly and understanding to order what they had. They told us we had to wait a bit longer even thought my wife mentioned they had an available table for the last 20 min. Once they sat us we were ready to order. We ordered 2 plates of mushroom ravioli , a chicken Parmesan and my son ordered pasta carbonara . Later the server came back to say they were out of everything we had ordered. We still agreed to order the options available. 5-10 minutes later they came back to say they had a lot of orders ahead of us and once they were served she would put in our orders. We were very patient but had a very big feeling they wanted us out putting so many obstacles to serve us. We only had 2 orders of bread with oil. I went to the counter and kindly said that we were leaving and wanted to settle what we owed. They charged me for the bread and I still gave the server a tip. I am a retired Hispanic veteran and honestly I had never experienced that much obstacles for us to get dinner especially while choosing this restaurant for such a special moment. I would never visit this place again. I really don’t want to think that it was because we where the only Hispanics there but we kept our composure...
