I had purchased a gift certificate on the Big Deals page of WKDZ with plans to purchase cookies for a shower, but two different people told me Joelle's cookies were not good. I decided to use the gift certificate to purchase cupcakes for a friend's birthday. I looked online and the prices for daily cupcake flavors was listed as 1-5 $3 each and 6-11 $2.50 each. I called and asked if I needed to order ahead of time and was told as long as I was buying daily flavors, I could just come in and get them. I went in to buy 8 cupcakes which I thought would be $20. There was no one in sight when I went in, but someone did come up to the register shortly. I picked out my 8 cupcakes and was told the total was $28. I did not look at the pricing ($3.5) on the sign in the store before picking out the cupcakes, because I assumed the price would be the same as listed on the website. Instead of paying $2.5 each, I was charged $3.5 each. Website pricing and in store pricing should be the same. If not, it should be noted on the website. The cupcakes were really good, but they were no bigger than I would make at home. Considering the size, $2.5 each would have been fairly reasonable, $3.5...
Read moreMe and my husband and our three girls went today for the breakfast with Ariel that Joelles was hosting. We are very disappointed. The fee was 10$ a piece and 2 of our girls are twins age 1. I knewThey want going to eat but we paid all together 50$ anyway. Then we get to the table and the waitress asked us 4(FOUR) times if our twins wanted BOTH Pancakes and BOTH bacon, YES!!!!!!!! We paid for it!!! How insulting. ThEN, brings me one pancake and 1 bacon each for the girls. And my bacon was burned black. And the other ladies/attendees at this event were beyond your worst nightmare-i actually heard a SNOBBY mom go'do u have any nutella, cause my daughter has to have it on her pancakes' ............really. then, we go to shop the sweets at joelles-and there was only one lady working and none wanted to take my order even though there were 4 other people standing behind the counter. Man-was we ready to get out of there!!! On the upside the cookies and treats 'look great. Maybe I'll get the nerve to go...
Read moreExcellent location, easy to find. The store is very bright and welcoming, the decorations and fun. The cupcakes are delicious and there's amply variety: chocolate, vanilla, carrot cake, Reese's peanut butter, cookies and cream, etc. - I uploaded pictures of those I bought. All were moist and rich. I didn't want all the icing that came on top, but very good! The brownies didn't make it for pictures. They were amazing. They have large chocolate chips in them and are the moistest I've ever had. I wasn't super impressed with the Nutella cookies (the whole reason I went the day I did). They taste like sugar cookies with Nutella in them - which is great if you like sugar cookies, but those aren't my thing. Very good texture, though! They have a rewards program for dollars spent. I signed up for it but didn't get all the details. I think it's a great idea though! They do custom orders, too!
Update: I tried their Italian sausage tortellini and it...
