I wasnt sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. We had dinner 2 different days and breakfast one day. The breakfast portions were decent for the price but my potatoes and English muffin tasted of grill grease and not the good kind. A lot of items on the menu were not available, but the biscuits and gravy were decent. Those were large biscuits. Hillbilly Benedict was ok too. The fish and chips was really done well both nights we had that and the fries were good too. The fish was not hard or overcooked but just right so 5 stars for that dish. Onion rings were also really good, side salad was nicely prepped. Clam chowder was creamy and thick. A little salty but with crackers you probably wouldn't notice. The brisket dip was pretty good. We were all happy with that. (We shared meals) Portions were huge compared to what we are used to around Seattle area and a lot cheaper, so for the price the dinner items were good quality, tasted good, and were generous. The breakfasts would have been rated higher for us if it weren't for the kind of chemical taste of the grill grease. Bacon was perfect. Giving it 5 stars because for what this place is we felt it delivered well and the staff were all very nice. We were glad to not have to bring a bunch of groceries with us. We did both dine in and take out and had good experience with both.

It’s an alright place to eat. Typical 90’s small town northwest eatery’s which is a very good thing for me. The food was alright. My wife got the 1/3 burger. Decent salad with it but the burger was small, probably smaller than a cheeseburger from McD’s, just over decorated with condiments. My friend for the fish n chips. Quite delicious, fries were perfectly seasoned. I had the 4 cheese tortellini. First impression was delicious, but then flavor got boring the more you eat it. I started to hate it and now that I keep thinking about the flavor, I want to barf. The aroma or flavoring technique was over complicated. Just keep it simple and clean, no need to impress a Gordon Ramsay. Our server was energetic, talkative, insanely friendly. Greeted us well, ID’d us legitimately. Makes me mad sometimes when bartenders just glance over them. He reminded me of Steve O from JackA$$, so outgoing, loud, smiling constantly and overall delivered the perfect service. I loved every part of it. As we left, we gave us a good luck call on the razor clam digging we were attending to. I’ll definitely come back, maybe just for the fish n chips LOL!

To management: My husband and I have always loved the food here. It’s our go to place. Their fish and chips are so amazing and there other dishes are good, but something has changed. In August I called in an order referencing their online menu. I ordered a fish and chip and a club sandwich. The fish and chips were fine, but the club was a bizarre creation. It had brisket in place of bacon, and was on a thick super soft white bread. That is not remotely close to a club. Come to find out the online menu does not match their actual menu. But, regardless, a club by definition is a type of sandwich that does NOT consist of brisket. I hope this review makes it to management. Please rename your brisket sandwich and bring back the club like it is supposed to be. Also, the fish and chips are not the beautiful flaky fillets we’ve come to enjoy. I would rather have the same amazing fish and pay a little more rather than reducing the product to small thin filets and paying the same.

Ok place as there is limited choices in the area. Food is ok; prices reasonable . This was our second visit this month. Rentals at the naval resort are clean well maintained and the gals at the front desk were helpful and very nice. Great view and location to beach is a plus. All around 5 for the resort. The windjammer however is a predominantly local hangout. Don't expect immediate service and DO expect to see and witness endless chatter with the friends and locals that frequent this bar. It is clear guests are not the priority. Bartender this weekend really needs to focus more on the patrons than sitting and talking with friends at the bar. If my employees at my bar ever thought it wise to run my business this way they would've been gone within a weeks time. Poor management at this spot. It's a shame as it has good potential. New construction is apparent and looks like they are expanding. Looks good so far and great decision but unless they change the staff it will not matter. Lots of bar games available but don't bother asking to use the virtual game console (Wii) as they only keep it on one game with the option the locals set. We couldn't believe the response we received when asked to use it. I could understand if the place was busy or full of patrons but in the two hours we were there no other guests entered that place and the same people remained. This spot if marketed properly and more inviting to those not living nearby could be a gem. Bottom line if you're under 50 and not local expect mediocre service if at all. Expect employees to gather behind bar to chat and expect to be treated like your business matters not. Take the short drive with a DD and head to Mill 109 or Green Lantern instead. Better atmosphere and you'll be...
