No Starbucks can capture the feel of a small corner coffee shop. Especially one surrounded by housing and villas, it’s such a comforting and sweet environment to walk in to, as soon as you walk in you see the gorgeous decorating of the place, there’s individual bathrooms, a smaller secluded spot for my introverted friends or maybe for people that want to be left alone or have a private conversation with a friend, their equipment looked really well taken care of and for a small little shop, the menu was HUGE, and not to mention fantastic? My sister brought me here because she used to live in the apartments and raved about the grilled cheese that was almost a Cuban bread kind of thing and pressed, and let me tell you was it actually amazing! They gave you this homemade sauce that was so good you had to eat it with EVERY bite. We also ordered coffees and there’s such a large variety of flavors and styles to choose from, which makes it helpful if you’re looking for something specific! And they had a lot of milk alternatives and substitutions if there was a kind you couldn’t have. And it was SO good when it came out. There was also free water for anyone, a section with coloring books and activity books and magazines for entertainment, multiple different seating conditions, and it was fairly quiet which was nice! They also have a pretty outside seating area too! I loved the display of their pastries, the coffee beans as a decoration was a perfect touch. And the entire atmosphere was just so warm and welcoming to walk in to, and the staff was so kind and helpful and ready to answer any questions you may have. It was super quick and enjoyable! Not to mention they had POPSICLES?? And the flavors looked fantastic, the Nutella one was CALLING my name but It wasn’t the time of day to get one. But overall, fantastic, I love the environment and the people, and it was just so nice to be there I felt...
Read moreLovely menu by the lovely new owner! Healthy and fresh food cooked to order - Delicious! They're still working the kinks out with speed of service because they're new, but I'm sure that depends on a number of factors and the owner seems happy to be there and working hard to make her beautiful little cafe work!
We got the "Breakfast Crepe" which was very good... I was surprised (pleasantly yet still not expecting) that the "3 egg crepe" was the crepe was made of egg... So like an omelet made like a crepe... Nice! Very healthy and delicious. I do believe that the other crepes on the menu are actual flour crepes though and we're excited to go back and try them.
The other item we ordered were the flourless "Banana Pancakes" - Which again, surprised, but still in a good way... That they were basically like sweet warm egg custard and not made with a replacement flour... Like a warm flan with banana etc. Very good! Very healthy! Not expected, but great!
We're excited to go back and try more things... The tacos looked good, another person's crepe looked good, the soup is apparently already popular with the businesses across the street, and the coffee was tasty and very reasonably priced. Love that there are real mugs and nice dishes! Personally, paper cups/plates (unless it's to go) really kinda dampens the experience at places so that was a nice experience too.
We always wanted to like the Cafe that was there before but the menu just never really inspired and it was quite pricey... But this menu seems very nice and reasonably priced for a...
Read moreI always love coming here. The owner is so kind and talented. This was my first time coming on a weekday and my food came out fresh and fast, within 10 minutes of ordering. I tried something new, the Divorciados. It was a warm tortilla with ham and melted cheese inside, topped with two eggs and green and red salsa. It came with beans on the side. I love that she has featured authentic Guatemalan menu items, so we can try new things right here in Central Florida. It feels like a little vacation whenever I come here. What a great way to start the week!
My dish was delicious. The beans are the best I’ve ever had, everytime. They are so consistently delicious. The red salsa is made in house and has a lovely flavor that is not overpowering. Everything is made fresh, to order. You feel so satisfied whenever you you leave here and nourished with a fresh home cooked meal.
Not to mention the coffee is also wonderful. It’s strong yet subtle. It has a slight bitter taste, which I like in my coffee. It balances out any sweet or savory dishes you may order with it. I always get an iced latte and...
