New China Restaurant — Restaurant in Houma

I heard there was new owners so I decided to give lunch a try. It was one of the worst restaurant expierences I've had in a while. A large gruff man in open toe shoes paced the entrance area overwhelmed with calls. His customer service skills were lacking on the phone to be heard throughout the building. Our waitress who never introduced herself walked up for the first time and asked If we were ready to order but we hadn't even put our drinks in yet. Once we did receive drinks we had to request straws. 2 lunches were ordered but only one person at the table was offered soup which is completementary to both meals After one soup came out I asked why I didn't get a soup and if my meal also came with one to which the waitress replied "you should have told me". One meal came out while the other took 10 min longer. The waitress said she asked the kitchen to make it a few times but she doesn't know and it's coming. Other tables around us got food first even after being seated after.

Overall food was OK. But I will never suggest new china and I will never eat there again. Staff has lack of basic customer service and communication skills 0/10 do not recommend

Also there were signs in the bathroom to please not flush...

I order some food twice and ordered the same thing two days in a row and was charged two different prices and the first time it was some old hard disgusting food and the second time was okay. But when asked for a receipt and a menu they told me they would put one in the bag and they would give me a receipt, they did not when called to talk to someone about the incidents they placed me on hold for the longeat of time and they refused to give me a name, Before that I had enjoy ordering from them and never had a problem. But for them to serve food that's nasty and looked like maggots in the rice was horrible and I had my kids sick and really sayinh their rice looked like maggots and I called again and they wouldn't do anything or correct anything about the prices and they refused to solve the problem I all ways tipped and talked and clown with the Asian guy that came and he remembered me from when I was pregnant ordering their food but now i refuse if I could give no stars that's their rating cause any restaurant that gives you a hard time and then the run around and when you finally get thru they don't wanna fix it then something is definitely wrong with...

Ok so I assumed that the low price would mean smaller portions, so I ordered a meal with dumplings and rangoons on the side. The portions were bigger than I've seen in a very long time, and it was not cheap tasting AT ALL. The sliced chicken in my meal was actual chicken, not the questionable stuff that most Chinese take-outs serve you. I was IMPRESSED. The dumplings were incredible and the sauce with them was not your average everyday sauce. It definitely tasted like made in house and with love. And the Rangoon were absolutely delicious. I have no idea how they serve food so good and in such large portions while still keeping the doors open. I seriously haven't been this satisfied with a Chinese takeout since my days as a stoned teenager in Detroit. This is easily 3 good meals in one for me. THANK YOU, NEW...
