Big Burger V — Restaurant in Houston

Finally came to the restaurant after years of living in the area and was blown away. I was really hungry and couldn’t decide what to eat but wasn’t in the mood for tacos/big fast food chains and saw this on my suggested. I called at 8:55 and they close at 9 and asked if it was too late to place an order and they said no. So, I wasn’t too familiar with their menu but I asked the person who answered what kind of items are their best seller and off the bat she said the bacon cheeseburger and was exactly what I got! That was probably one of the best bacon cheeseburgers I ever ate. This place is nostalgic for me as it has been around as long as I have. I am a true northsider just like Burger V. They offer good sized burgers that are juicy. My favorite is the chili cheeseburger. They do not mind piling it on and I do not mind getting messy. If you don't like messy, you can always ask them to go light. My husband's favorite is the steak finger basket with onion rings. My daughter always has us get a lemonade even if she is not eating but she usually adds on a bacon cheese burger. I tried the gyro for the first time a few months ago and it was quite large and flavorful however a little bit dry. I will order it again before I cross it off my menu choices. Quality of the burgers are very classic. Definitely has an old school kind of vibe. If you were thinking about choosing McDonald over this I would say you're money has been poorly spent. We got basket meals that came with fries and the fries were very crispy and nicely seasoned. Value for the amount of food is well worth it. Recommendations: don't sit on the bench that has little rocks. Your buttocks will hurt after you stand up 😢 also when you order your drink order an extra large they do not do free refills and you will have to pay for a brand new drink if you end up wanting more soda.
