El Forastero (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Houston

I 1,000% recommend this taqueria!My experience at this taco spot was nothing short of amazing. The fajita meat was tender and flavorful. They cook the meat on charcoal, which gives it that cookout taste like if you cooked it in your backyard. The tacos were full of meat, and they used regular sized tortillas.

The only notable things are they don't have avocado because they have an avocado salsa, and they only offer cilantro and onions mixed together not separately which for me, is a negative as I don't like onions. I know this is common but not enough to be deducted in rating. They also provide you with cooked onions, lemons, and charro beans if requested. They also offer other meats other than fajita. They also offer Mexican sodas for drinks.

5+ stars hands down for sure!! So I've always been a fan of melted cheese over fajita meat and would occasionally go to El Taconazo for my fix, however, it wasn't until a couple of weeks ago that I discovered this place, El Forastero (610 Little York Rd)! The meat is so tender, seasoned well and topped off with cheese and tortillas! The meat pieces are cut into nice chunks which I love and just full of flavor! Worst taco experience I ever had. I can’t believe that they have a 4.8 rating, I must have came at a bad time. The pork tasted like it was close to being sour & the fajita isn’t real fajita, tasted fake. I spent $15 on 5 tacos & a small sprite.
