Crabby Crawfish — Restaurant in Houston

My family and I recently went here and we normally come here as our usual spot but the last time we went it wasn’t very pleasant. We started off by ordering 10 lbs of medium spice level crawfish with some garlic butter shrimp and Cajun fries. First and foremost the waitress never brought out our fries, and this was a major disappointment so instead of trying to make it a big issue we just simply canceled the order. We asked the waitress if she could bring the crawfish in 1, 5 lb bag at a time so meaning we would receive 1 bag and once we finish we would get another one. With the first batch the crawfish was horrible there was no seasoning to be found whatsoever and it was barely enjoyable. Now as I said before the Cajun fries wasn’t a big deal because it was just fries but the main dish the crawfish was a major deal for us. With that being said, we called over the waitress who was super helpful and asked if they could give us another 5 lb bag and she said I will go get some fresh ones asap. In about 5 minutes she comes out and hands us another bag which was packed with flavor and super delicious. In the end we never ended up getting our other 5 lb bag because it was near closing and we didn’t want to disturb the waitress. Overall mid experience I think we will continue coming here. I would recommend coming early so you can get the freshest...

So, I had been going to Crabby Crawfish since I moved to the Houston/Pasadena area. I had some issues with customer service, but overall the food was okay. I finally got comfortable enough to call in my orders and come and pick them up. Sometimes my pounds of Crawfish are accurate, sometimes a little sketchy. But tonight I am mortified to have to report a incident that not only has me questioning their cleanliness, but their respect for their customers. I placed a order for snow crabs with an extra corn. I got all the way home (U of H campus) and began to enjoy my food, when I get to my second corn and notice a clump of hair attached to it. Not a strand of hair but a clump. I am disgusted, I asked roommates to verify if it was hair, and phoned Crabby to inform them of the incident. First she offers a free corn upon my next visit, and when I informed her that I would not like that she began to call me a liar, informing me that there was security cameras in the kitchen SO I MUST HAVE BEEN LYING. She then informed me that we are "always complaining" and that I only wanted something for free. I have never complained nor have I ever asked for anything free from the establishment.I will no longer be patronizing the establishment, and plan to further have the situation investigated. I am still praying I did not catch anything...

Wow.. I went on my bday with my grandparents, they both ordered the fried catfish and fries and I ordered the 4lb combo with the sausage, egg, corn & potatoes. The fries didn't even have one speckle of salt. Just bland and wrong. I ordered cajun extra spicy, & I tasted NO flavor whatsoever. I spoke the to waitress, she was extremely awkward and wasn't helpful at all. There was a gentleman who was a bit helpful, but our waitress either new, or waaaay too comfortable. We wound up throwing away 72 bucks. My grandparents aren't picky and they did NOT enjoy their catfish. Seemed as if they were trying to force themselves to eat it. And it was the same for me, my gma kept asking me to eat more because I hadn't touched my food much.. I just couldn't. Bday dinner was a fail. This is my first negative review which sucks because I rarely even make reviews. I'm used to real new orleans style crawfish so this was just a complete and major disappointment and I honestly don't know how this place has been in business for however long it's been in business for. If ppl believe this spot is great, they haven't had good crawfish and that sucks for them cuz they're really missing out and settling...
