Freddy's Cafe — Restaurant in Houston

The food at Freddy’s Café is Great! Just like most of the other reviews have stated; it’s fresh, delicious, and the portions are a good size. The Breakfast Tacos are the best in Houston. If you like them spicy, make sure and order the 3 alarm – Fresh Jalapeno Fiery Goodness. Fish and Chips was also fresh & Crispy without being oil-saturated. Unfortunately, the other reviews are also spot on when they say the service is not good. It is honestly unacceptable. On one occasion we called in an order and was told it would be ready in about an hour. Showed up an hour later to pick it up, and they hadn’t even started. Their response was – “Sorry, we’ve been busy. It will probably be another 40 minutes or so.” On other occasions, the wait for just a couple of breakfast tacos was 25 minutes. The girl taking the order is friendly enough, but they have no sense of urgency in preparing your food, and are unapologetic about the time it takes. It’s really too bad, because if they could get the food out in a reasonable amount of time, this would be a 5-star spot. I will continue to visit Freddy’s because their food is just that good. Hopefully someday “Freddy” will get the service side of the business...

After my walk, I needed some gains and this was the most disappointing breakfast! Food took quite awhile to get delivered but I didn’t mind the wait but the food itself was what bothered me.

The breakfast croissant was okay. It came like warm and extremely soggy. I had to put it in toaster oven to make it look lively again. Haha but I’ve talk taste wasn’t bad. Just your typical breakfast croissant.

The 3 meat taco was absolutely inedible! Well at least to my taste. The taco itself was overwhelmingly mushy! Literally everything was over scrambled and looks unappetizing! The tortillas was soggy and couldn’t even be lifted up. Had to use a fork to cut into it. Ate a few bites and gave up. The taco was very under seasoned and yeah. Bleh. Not my flavor. I really didn’t enjoy my breakfast at all. So probably would never...

Feddy's Cafe is a hidden gem that serves up a delightful breakfast experience. The cozy atmosphere instantly puts you at ease, with warm lighting and comfortable seating perfect for a relaxing morning meal. I ordered two eggs sunny-side up with buttered toast and turkey sausage, which arrived perfectly cooked and piping hot. The eggs were just right, with runny yolks and crisp edges, while the turkey sausage was flavorful and lean.

My companion's French toast was a standout, golden-brown and dusted with powdered sugar. It came with a side of turkey sausage that complemented the sweetness beautifully. The coffee was rich and aromatic.
