Luly's Birria Tacos — Restaurant in Houston

I just want to begin this review by saying that I highly recommend this spot. I came by on Friday 07/12/2024 with the family for the first time and I must say it was amazing. On this particular day they had a special going on where the Birria tortas and ramen cups where $5 each. Those tortas are so delicious and packed with so much flavor. The bread is just toasted right and that birria meat is jam packed with flavor and the right amount of cheese is layered on that torta bread...Mann!! Another item we ordered were them birria tacos and those where a homerun. That tortilla literally has the perfect crunch and to me that's what makes these tacos extremely delicious. The perfect amount of meat and cheese is put on these tacos along with onions and cilantro and that consome is fire. I'm glad our daughter told us about this place because we look forward in returning more often especially to try them jarritos preparados...on this day they had sold out but that's ok because you know they are good if they sell out. I also would like to point out that the service here is really good. The owner was very nice he was very patient and just had an amazing attitude even after we showed up 20 minutes before closing. I think this is a husband and wife running this birria food truck and I just want to say they are cooking up some very delicious food and everyone in Houston should come out and taste this food. Food was great but the experience was not great. Tacos had plentiful meat and I liked that they came with condiments that complimented them such as grilled onions and fresh onions. Liked the consomme soup too. I noticed there is ramen on the menu so I think that is a good combo with consomme. I like to try taco trucks and I went out of my way to go to this one. Unfortunately one customer waiting on an order had their engine running very loudly (customized for extra noise) for the entire time I was there. That was annoying and spoiled the atmosphere. They have an eating area with picnic tables but decided to take the food...

Pretty dank eats, I recommend getting the pizza, more bang for your buck. You get it fresh and hot so be careful on your first bite, they sell cold glass bottled drinks. They have water as well but they weren't cold yet at the time. Just pretty much plan ahead for the integrity of your mouth haha. Food overall was delicious and hot. The garnish was fresh. Outside seating is available or you can eat in your car, the parking lot is pretty big. Worth the visit, would go again, I suggest confirming if they are open if you are...
