Mucho Mexico on N. Wayside Drive has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. 😊 Growing up in this neighborhood, this place wasn’t just a restaurant — it was part of my routine, my family memories, and soooo many late-night cravings. Whether it was grabbing gorditas with my family after school, stopping by with friends after a night out or getting food before a long drive out the city, Mucho Mexico has always been there.
What makes it truly special is how consistent and welcoming they are. The staff is always friendly, fast, and respectful — no matter what time you walk in. SERIOUSLY, 3 a.m. or 3 p.m., they greet you with the same warmth and vitality. 😄 You can tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they do. This place has always been SUPER CLEAN.
They also medicinal and beauty products, directly from it's Spanish countries. Common staples like milk and cake for birthdays are sold here, important for those that work days and have "emergencies". And it’s not uncommon to see it PACKED, especially when buses stop by. Travelers heading to other cities know Mucho Mexico is a reliable stop for a good, hearty meal. Yet every time I've seen them slammed, their service never dropped. The team handles busy crowds with ease and keeps things moving.
The food? Authentically Mexican. 🇲🇽🤠😋 Whether it's a hot plate of enchiladas, fresh tacos, or a big breakfast burrito in the early morning, everything tastes like Mexico. The portions are generous, the ingredients taste fresh, and the prices are fair. It’s the kind of food that comforts you and fills you up right.
Mucho Mexico just isn't a restaurant anymore, it’s part of East End's heartbeat. If you’re ever in the area, don’t miss the chance to experience it. I’m proud to say I grew up coming here, and I’ll keep coming back for...
Read moreMy family and I come here for special occasions ( my grandparents choice). Those times we had ok customer service and the food has been good. But yesterday we had a bad experience. We asked for a table of 20. And the hostess was being super rude and told us we had to wait until all the 20 people were there, I understand that but there was already 15 people there and I don’t understand why we had to wait for the rest of the 5 to show up. They didn’t have to be so rude. After basically arguing with the front staff, my mom talked to the manager and he was able to solve the problem and give us the table. Then, our waitress was being super rude rolling her eyes and being super unprofessional. My parents ordered a torta de milanesa and it was cold and soggy. I got my daughter fried shrimp plate and the rice and shrimp were very delicious but the fries were soggy and over seasoned. My cousin ordered flautas plate and those were DELICIOUS and super hot. I would say I won’t be going again but my grandparents will most likely choose them for the next special occasion. I just wish next time we have better...
Read moreNever have I made a bad review of a Mexican restaurant because those are my people, but in this case, I have to make an exception. Me and my son went to eat for lunch today and just spent $40.13 for two plates of food, and that's just one of the issues. The problem is the portions of food for the money. We both hot two plates of food that could be considered lunch portions or kids' meals at other restaurants. This restaurant ripped us off with the amount of food for the price, and to top it off, the food wasn't even good. They added sliced carrots in my son's fajita taco, who does that!!!. Also, the lemonade portion for the price is very small. My plate didn't come with rice, so I said, can you bring me a side of rice. When I got it, I thought it was a kids portion, but no, it wasn't. Then I saw the price, and it was $4.13 for a side of rice. I was in shock because the price didn't reflect the portion of food. Do yourself a favor and don't go to this place, you'll spend an arm and a leg and leave hungry...
