Neveria & Taqueria El Quijote — Restaurant in Houston

Yum! Me and the girls from my office eat here every single week. We usually get it to go, but we have stayed before. The service was great and so was the food. My girlfriend was translating for us gringas what everything was, but in the end we were all happy. Yes, this is a bit pricey.. And yes I've had some fairly bland food.. But most of the time it's delicious and I do not mind the price. I've had a couple of different people take our order and I've never experienced rudeness.. Even with as long as we take to order sometimes. I highly recommend passing out fresonadas before your next department meeting and everyone will love you forever. :) I see the bad reviews.. No no no!! Never again will we come here! We ordered three elotes in a cup for myself, my husband, and my father in law. Within the hour, all three of us were sick! My husband and I were throwing up, and my father in law had the runs for two days on top of feeling sick!

While my husband was inside ordering, I was parked in the back and noticed a male employee walking in and out of the back of the restaurant with a bucket and into a trailer parked in the rear. Now I wonder if that had anything to do with it... What would they have to keep filling that bucket up with? Was there no running water in...

Food & Service is horrible! Drinks are NOT authentic.... Especially the Aguas frescas. Ordered a lemonade a week ago and honestly is taste nothing like lemonade more like SOUR LIMES! Another thing is there service straight horrible as well! Idk why the owner doesn't look at these ratings I mean the location is perfect, The inside is clean and big but why isn't there food or drinks GOOD?!! I hope they look at this I mean at least try and make this place eatable and where people can honestly leave happy! Can't run a business with people...
