This USED to be one of my families favorite restaurant for the last 10 years. My sisters and I frequently dined here. However, we decided to host my sisterâs birthday for a party of 20 at 8:15pm on Tuesday 10/29. The service was UNFORGETTABLY POOR! To begin, I called ahead of time to confirm my party was set up for a party of 20 and was told yes. Upon arrival, my table was only set up for 17 guests. They werenât attentive, so one of my guest had to bring 3 additional chairs to accommodate my party of 20. Management decided to assign one server to work the entire party. The server (Vanessa) did all she could but unfortunately didnât meet the general skills to provide an exceptional experience. (Vanessa) wasnât actively listening!!! Everyoneâs pasta dish had chopped basil on top. The birthday girl dish didnât have any basil on top. She verbally said it and requested some basil but itâs like (Vanessa) didnât listen or refused to accommodate the request. I had to repeat 3x how I wanted the checks assigned. While bringing out the garlic bread (Morgan - Server? Host?) spilled the dipping oil on one of our guests clothing. Iâm not sure if after that incident, she felt embarrassed or what not. But she didnât come back to our tables anymore. Making (Vanessa) be the only server once again. Our server didnât know her table seating numbers, she forgot who ordered what dish and was handing dishes for us to figure it out. My mother always orders a cesare salad for dinner. Instead (Vanessa) brought her a house salad. When my mother brought this to (Vanessaâs) attention. Instead of correcting her mistake. (Vanessa) decided it was okay to retaliate by telling my mother she didnât order a cesare salad. Instead of simply correcting her mistake and taking accountability. Even my father stepped in backing up my mother. Advising (Vanessa) my mother had indeed ordered a cesare salad. That was the key moment that ruined my entire experience. Because my mother is not argumental and she was being disrespected by (Vanessaâs) own mistake. I stepped to the side, avoiding a scene for my guests. I asked (Vanessa) Iâd like to speak to a manager. She kept asking me 3x what I needed help me with. I asked âAre you the manager?â, she stated âNoâ. Nevertheless, I expressed my disappointment towards the overall poor experience. While thanking her for all her efforts. However I didnât appreciate her unprofessionalism towards the situation with my mother. I asked to speak a manager, she stated âthereâs no manager here at the momentâ. I politely requested her to contact a manager by phone as I needed to share some feedback⌠WHATS COMING NEXT WAS THE CHERRY THAT TOPPED OFF THE OVERALL POOR SERVICE EXPERIENCE. I spoke with (Zack - Owner) over the phone. I lost count of how many times he INTERRUPTED me in the middle of expressing my poor experience. He claimed he was in business for over 30 years. Anyone in business for that long understands PROFESSIONALISM vs UNPROFESSIONALISM. Do your homework (Zack). He cut me off to say âyouâve said enough details and Iâve got the full picture.â HOW RUDE!!! I told him (Morgan) was prioritizing cleaning the empty tables instead of making sure our party of 20 received the service we shouldâve received. He told me âOh I dont like that girl anymoreâ. Like why would I need to know that? Who says that to a customer and why do you talk negatively about the people YOU hired? He honestly sounded INTOXICATED. I asked the ladies if he ever brought that intoxicated manner to the restaurant and they simply stayed quiet⌠Their silence confirmed that⌠DO BETTER ZACK and work on your POOR COMMUNICATION skills. Youâve lost a customer that was loyal to your establishment for over 10 years over poor service, no accountability, unprofessionalism and poor communication. The saddest part is they knew this was a birthday dinner. NO ONE wished or sang happy birthday. We asked for the birthday cake to be placed in the fridge. They left it seating in one of the empty tables. We requested plates and the cake to be brought and...
Read moreAwful, awful, awful. Do not go here even if you are starving and haven't eaten in a week.
The meal started badly when the DH was brought a flavored iced tea instead of the sweet tea he ordered. There is a huge difference in these drinks, and one which should be mentioned by staff long before bringing any drink to the table (especially for a southern man).
The "Bruchetta" is a joke as it isn't really bruchetta. This was a slab of focaccia with a few tomatoes, feta, and garlic (which was so heavy I still have the taste in my mouth after only ONE bite).
The salads were covered in so much dressing that the lettuce drowned. DH ate 90% of his, but I only managed 2 bites. Also, one tomato and one cucumber?!? I know times are still tough, but come on!
My chicken fettuccine was horrible. The chicken is obviously canned and left in water. Meat was super tough and had no taste. The alfredo sauce was ok, but I only had 2 bites as I just couldn't get past the taste. DH had baked ziti and also only had a few bites as it was chalky tasting.
For all of this, we were actually charged $15!! I'm not down to try and get free food, however, if I saw a customer eat as little as we did, I'm going to apologize and comp everything (not just the white man's meal and make the black lady pay..tf?!).
Maybe the pizza is good, but after all that we aren't going to try anything else.
So much for date night...should have just stayed home in my pajamas and made pasta roni. đ
Edit to owners response: I don't ask for discounts. We fully expect the whole bill no matter what we say. I do not mention my reviews while in restaurants because I don't want the service to be tainted; I appreciate staff and owners being their genuine selves (as you have done here with your attacking response). You are falsely attacking me as a person because of criticism?!? That is just sad and makes...
Read moreFirst Off, I have not gone inside of a Napoli's restraurant for sometime, but this location is close to me, so I have enjoyed ordering from them. I have received delivery twice from them and was quite please with their service and food. However, the last time I tried to order from them, there was an error where the online delivery website wanted to deliver the next day instead of the day of. So I called to order. The lady who picked up seemed unexperienced but friendly. She never repeated my order, name, or address back to me. Not even my credit card information and I was a little bothered by that. After waiting 5 minutes, I received a call back from the same associate saying the delivery guy would not deliver to my complex because it's a "bad" area. I was stunned. I explained that I have 24 hour security at my complex and I would not live in a bad area. I asked to speak to manager right away. After about a minute of holding, a male answers the phone and says, "we don't deliver out there nomore." Of course I asked why and he said it was because of stolen credit cards. I was shocked that he implied my credit card was STOLEN! I knew then, this was NOT the manager, but the delivery guy! I was so frustrated and emotional. I have a 9 year old son just getting over a stomach virus and he wanted to try to eat something from Napoli.Today was his birthday. People, if numerous credit cards numbers have been stolen, I would not even bother eating there. Thank you Napoli for making my last experience a day...
