Rice's Fried Chicken & Seafood — Restaurant in Houston

Ok i gave this place one more try. Went there yesterday. Got 4 drumsticks and 2 lo meins. One shrimp and one special. First i noticed lots of things taken off me u like wonton soup. Ok i will settle again for lo mein. Oh prices have gone up. They still serve you lots BUT BE CAREFUL they add huge amounts of big cut vegetables to hide the little pieces of meat or shrimp. Came home not too happy I wanted general Tsos but theirs is nasty. I wanted to go to 888 restaurant but hubby insisted on this one. Now i have gotten sick before from their food. But ok lets try again. Ate one drumstick it was good that i do say. I had e small helpings of my small shrimp lo mein and noticed that it just was not cooked the same as years ago. The color was greyish and veggies huhe one or three shrimp somewhere. I stopped and said no way. In less than an hour i got nauseous and dizzy and stomach started to hurt my heart to race and well lets just say the rest of night was ice water to keep hydrated and tylenol for how horrible i felt. My husband did not eat his he just said no way. Its not the same folks. My daughter's warned me that it was nasty the place does have a funny sewer like odor but since they are cooking it mixes itself up. Wont reccomend this place again. I rather go to 8888 their food more expensive but lots better quality never gotten sick there. No way will i buy from rices...

I don't know where these other people giving these reviews come from they must be paid. The restroom are nasty and have a funny smell. It was to early in the day for them to be in as bad shape as they were and out of supplies to have been cleaned the night before. If i had not have ordered my food before I went in I would have left. Now the food the chicken and fries were cooked to hard and the one bite I did take had no flavor. The egg roll was also over cooked to the point both ends were hard. The special lo main was not special at all having no shrimp in it at all. I searched as well as the person Su and none were found. They offered to remake my food or give me my money back I decided to take the remake as I was on lunch and half was over already. The chicken now looked better but still lacked flavor the lo main was dry and now had shrimp I was told that a small only comes with 3. The place is to pricey for the quality of food they give. We order from this restaurant almost every day and today our coworker was on his way to pick up the food and ended up with a tire blowout, and I actually had the guy there. Tell me he was not going to remake the chicken but he would remake the rice, even though it would have been over an hour for another coworker to come and pick up the order. I absolutely love the food here, but the guy that works there. I’m not sure if he is the owner son, but he should probably find a new profession other than dealing with and working closely with the public. He has lost side of customer service and it’s important and he really doesn’t know how to talk to people at all. He is extremely rude and not saying that our money is going to make or break this restaurant but I will no longer be spending money here. good food is not worth the price for a bad attitude and you have to wonder if he’s gonna throw your chicken on the floor if he has...
