Taqueria Allende — Restaurant in Houston

Met up with an old friend here for brunch, first complaint is that this place was too cold my baby was shivering... when I asked the woman that was in charge she seem not to want to adjust the thermostat, second complaint we got there at almost 11am. we placed our order and saw that there was a different waitress passing us by with a tray ofvchips and salsa, so we asked for some, but they didn’t bring it to us... finally we asked our waitress about the chips and salsa and she said that they don’t bring out the chips and salsa until after 11am we pointed out that the guys sitting across from us got some, she said “ yeah, but they ordered cheese...” so my friend got up and asked the woman in charge about the chips and salsa and she was told that since we got here a few minutes before 11 am we would have to get charged for them... SMH! � well that just isn’t business smart Third complaint is I asked for the carne asada with rice and beans and they only gave me 3 tortillas, so I asked if I could get more, the waitress said they would have to charge... � � this place is so money hungry they might start charging for the salt and pepper at the end of the tables or the sugar for the coffee, I will never ever come back and I will make sure EVERYONE I KNOW, KNOWS WHAT A DUMP THIS PLACE IS

I do not recommend this place to anybody. I'm not sure how it has 4.2 stars on Google, but the food is very bland and it's just not what I would enjoy as a Mexican. I've been to several places around town far superior to the taste of the food here and I'd recommend others go spend your money elsewhere. I had no issue with the service and the place was clean, but I was terribly disappointed with the food.

I ordered the tacos rojos. Honestly these had more a similar flavor to jack in the box tacos, so no points from me there. My wife has the hamburger, which from my past experience was actually pretty good, the flavor seems to have changed since I last went and it's not as good as it use to be. It's Mexican burger by the way so don't get your panties in a wad telling me why I went to a Mexican place and ordered a burger.

I can usually eat a Menudo and two tacos Barbacoa today the Menudo was so good I didn’t bother eating my two tacos. Not to mention the service was awesome. I appreciate all that they did. They went beyond the work detail. Their service was awesome. There’s no other way to put it. The only downfall was when I called after I left to complement them. The person that answered the phone told me the manager was not there, but when I started complementing them and their service she found a manager, and I stated to her I was very pleased with the food and the service, but I didn’t mention the person that answered the phone, I recommend this place to anyone and everyone who likes it comfortable and relax breakfast with find music in the background. I think them and keep up the good work till we see each other again I’m going to let my coworkers know about this place....
