Update July 2025: GIVE THEM A NEW CHANCE! You won't regret it. We tried Skeeter's again this evening . Wasn't excited about going there after a less than mediocre experience last visit. But traffic was so bad and being kitchen remodel. Not much choice. Food was terrific. Had burger and chili burger. Wow! Something has changed for the good. Fresh and tastey. French fries worth the calories. Tea fresh! Staff couldn't be more pleasant. I think this is going to be pur go to place again.

Update: March 2022 What a dissapointment! So excited to see buffet back. But....... higher price......less choice.... bacon very undercooked....biscuit doughy in middle...graveyard watery.... fruit salad fresh but I prefer to choose which fruit instead of a jumble.

Will wait a while and try again for old times sake. Hoping just caught it on a bad day.

Burgers still great!

Best kept secret Breakfast Buffet in Kingwood. Yeah for those of us who have found it. The omelet lady is great. All the food is fresh and keeps on coming grits biscuits and gravy to tamales and salsa and everything in between. Price includes beverage milk, coffee, juice, tea. Never get to try everything but everything I try is super Don't know what they do to the bacon but I have to stop myself at 2 peices. (AND I don't even like bacon and avoid it) P.S. If you cannot make weekend breakfast try the chili...

Edit: Fairly regular customer to this location and I have to take a star away. If I was writing a review for the first time, it would now be a 3. Not sure what’s changed the last few months but one time I received a burger that was less than 100° in the patty, not even close to minimum serving temp, even for rare which is not what I ordered, and the fries were old and stale. I pick up my food and usually arrive before it’s even done so it wasn’t just waiting for me to pick it up. Last time, the kids meal burger the patty was half the size of the bun, I have never received it so small before. Think size of a silver dollar. As well, you appear to have changed your chicken tenders. They now have no flavor, if they do have any flavor it’s old grease. Got them again today and they are just gross. They appear to be hand breaded now and no seasoning. The chicken itself underneath the breading isn’t even good on its own, my dog turned her nose up at it. They don’t even look visually appealing or even smell good. Please go back to the old strips, unfortunately after two times of receiving gross ones, my boyfriend isn’t going to want to eat here again so you’ve unfortunately lost a loyal customer due to 3 not great experiences in a row, weeks apart.

We haven't eaten at Skeeters for several years because of several bad customer service experiences, but decided to give them another chance this week and it seems nothing has changed. As we walked in to the nearly empty restaurant, the staff was arguing with a patron that called in an order. She walked out empty handed. The staff seemed less than enthused about their jobs and, while not rude, they definitely weren't friendly and displayed not an ounce of care for what they were doing. The fries were good, but burgers were mediocre at best. This is supposed to be a mesquite grill, but the burgers were cooked on the hot plate/griddle and tasted like a greasy diner burger. The bun was ice cold as if it had been pulled out of a fridge. Definitely not worth $14 dollars for a burger and fries. Not once did the staff leave the counter to check on any guests. After not having a "mesquite grilled" grease burger, all of us smelled like we sat in a smoker for two hours and had to immediately change clothes once we got home. This place might survive in a small town with little competition, but there are numerous places in Kingwood that offer much better service and food to waste...
