First off, I don't want to give this place even 1 star. I will NEVER EVER return to or recommend this place.
Before we walked in, we could see children running all over and bouncing/kicking/throwing a ball. We get in and are waiting to be seated, nobody comes to seat us. We finally just sit down ourselves, no menus, and only 2 place mats at a table that seats 4. We needed a highchair, we got it ourselves. We wait at least, if not more, 5 minutes for someone to realize we were there. The waitress came and took our drink orders (still no menus) She comes back with our drinks and we have to ask for menus. We get our order in, food comes out. 1 dish is completely wrong (not the waitresses fault). New dish comes out in less than 5 minutes. My mother has ordered this dish at least 2 times before and it came out in a different, smaller tray. It was not prepared the same and not fully cooked. The food was hard. She ate a bite or two and decided to not eat it. My step-fathers meal was ok, but some noodles were hard. "like eating straw" My meal was perfect, no problems. The waitress did not once come to ask us if we needed refills. To be fair, the waitress was extremely nervous and obviously new. My step-father asked to speak to the manager. He offered to take of my mother's meal, even after assuring her that she received the right meal and it has not changed in the 30 years they've had it. He even offered to take off my step-father's meal (which only the noodles were the problem with his and he had ate more than half of the rest of the meal). We were very upset. We mentioned that the waiter had not been back out, he went to go get her (we thought). however, he never returned. Then a woman came out, i'm guessing the owner, not sure. She came out, furious, and was very rudely asking about my mother's meal and claimed that my mother had eaten half of it. Which she did not even eat an 1/8 of it. Then she very loudly made a comment about my step-father wanting his meal for free even though he ate most of it and boxed the rest. My food was the boxed one, not his. Plus, the other manager was the one who offered to take it off the bill. She created a scene in front of 15-20 more customers. The guy sitting behind us waited 52 minutes for his food and it came out cold. He too was very upset. Then a guy had called in an order, came to pick it up, and still had to wait 20 minutes, also upset.

Read moreI've been going here for years, never had a bad meal. I just last week discovered my very favorite item: General Tso's shrimp. It's a huge serving, I always take some home. They take sizeable shrimp, easily 2-4 bites each, and somehow stick them together so that when breaded and deep fried, the two form a circle with a hole in the middle. Each piece is actually 2 shrimp. And I counted them tonight, 10 of those, so 20 fairly nicely sized shrimp. See if you get 20 shrimp anywhere else for this price. I added an egg roll (the dinner comes with egg drop soup), and with tax, the entire meal was under $14. I did drink water, so no drink included there, although I think they provide coffee or tea with the meal.
Some people don't like spicy food, and this is noted on the menu as being so. I've found over the years that there are two types of hot: the type which gets worse (hotter) with every bite and the type which is as hot as it's going to be on the first bite. This dish is the second type. If you don't run for the exit after one bite, you can make it through with no problem. I'm not a real spicy person, but I have no problem with this one.
If you live fairly close (I'm in Sturgis, MI, about 5 miles), or if you're going across Indiana on the toll road (I-80/90) and it's meal time at exit 121 (Howe/Lagrange, IN and Sturgis, MI), it's close enough that once you pass the red light at the exit and turn left/North, it's the very first left/West on state line road (miss that road and you're now in Michigan!), and the first IMMEDIATE left is into the parking lot. Stop, share the meal with another, and go on your...
Read more27 August 2021 My daughter and I stayed across the street and saw this place just over the border from Michigan, in Indiana! I read prior reviews and we decided to give it a try. They are currently only doing take out orders. I ordered using the app on my phone and had no problems. You have the option to pay by cash or credit card when you arrive to get your food. I saw in other reviews that they do not provide plasticware or chopsticks. I requested it in the comments section, but I did not get any (they must just not have any.) We ordered around 6 pm, and were given a pick up time of 6:45. The outside of the building is a little run-down, but don't let that deter you. When you go in to pick up your order, there is a little cut-out window in the atrium. They ask the last 4 digits of your phone number, complete your transaction, and you're on your way. The only negative is that the entryway had a funny smell. For 2 people, we ordered sesame chicken with white rice, a large chicken and rice soup, and an egg roll, all for about $18 including tip. The soup wasn't soup as the rice had soaked up all of the liquid, but it tasted like soup, and was pretty good. The sesame chicken was decent (my daughter liked it quite a lot, and I thought it was just ok). The egg roll...OH MY! THE BEST egg roll I have ever eaten. It was really large, crispy on the outside and...
