Globe Restaurant — Restaurant in Hubbard Township

Really has gone down hill. Me and my husband frequent here about 2-3 times a week but I doubt we will be returning any time soon after last several visits have been bad. The wait staff just complains non stop in front of the customers. They fight with each other and we have yet to get a smile out of any of them! Their personalities are that of a wet mop and they act like they are miserable being there. The food was the worse it has ever been this last time. I sat and watched my burger and fries sit up under that heat lamp for over 30 minutes or so because the cook forgot to make my husbands sandwich. After making his sandwich the waitress pointed out to him that he made it wrong and had to remake it again...my burger is still sitting there. When I asked the waitress if that was my burger sitting there all of this time she said YES it was. I told the waitress not to bring me that burger so she went and told the cook and I sat there and watched him get mad then take my burger and put it back on the grill to warm it up ( you can visually see into the kitchen from the tables) and throw my fries back in the grease. I asked for a medium done burger and now its so over done, dry, chewy, and old with a rock hard bun that I couldn't eat any of it and it was all thrown away. Fries were grease logged and soggy. Husbands sandwich (reuben) was not good either since the cook was in a hurry to get it done (twice). When I said something about the food the waitress just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Really disappointed after coming here for a year regularly now. Also, the wait for 2 sandwiches was over an hour and a half! Was not busy when we arrived but then they forgot an online pick up order and the person showed up to get it and wasn't even started yet which delayed our dinners and started the staff yelling at each other whose fault it was. I never once heard an apology out of any of their mouths to that customer or us for that matter for the long wait! The guy next to me ordered a simple grilled cheese and cup of chili and waited over an hour for that too! When he asked what was taking so long the waitress says to him " I guess they had to go to Wisconsin to get the cheese" WOW! He also asked if they could sprinkle cheese onto his chili and was told no very rudely. The kitchen was way more concerned with the food ordered at the Bar that is located inside the same building and getting the wings people were ordering over there done first I guess before the restaurant patrons. We were given the wrong bill and it wasn't caught until we paid at the register and the bill we got was $4 more than...

If I could leave a review under 1 star, I would! This is by far THE WORST service I have ever received! We were seated and waited at least a half hour before even being served! We waited at least another half hour for our food to come out and by the time our food came out, they missed one of our meals! Our waitress (THE MANAGER AT THAT) told us repeatedly that the meal that was missed would be out shortly. By the time everyone else at our table was finished eating we had asked at least four times where his food was at! The waitress then took our drinks off and brought us the bill, we waited another 10 minutes after we were all done eating and still did not receive this meal! Then the waitress came back and offered a slice of cheesecake while we wait for the meal to come out. We finished the cheese cake and still NO MEAL! We waited another 10 minutes and NO FOOD! By this time we asked for the meal to be taken off, we will just pay and leave. The waitress we had (the manager) just took off the meal and did not seem like she was sincere at all about the fact she missed one of our meals and had us waiting for this very meal for over an hour! At this point I asked for the manager (not knowing it was her) and she came out and basically said him not receiving his meal should be fine since we got the free cheesecake slice! I WOULD NOT be leaving this review right now if this was handled in any other way! She excused her mistake and tried to act like nothing was wrong because of a free slice of cheesecake! Now my father has to go work at his parents house all day without eating anything thanks to this worst restaurant I have...

I love this place. Been a staple for years for me. Miss the salad bar and some menu items but it is what it is i 7nderstand change happens. What really irritates me is the saying that you are open till 11:30pm and you take your last order at 11:15pm. So i hold out just to eat here and get here at 10:30pm and you tell me I'm getting ready to close in 15 min and only doing to go. My diet involves a lot of steak on the road. Not something easily ate in a truck out of a Styrofoam container. I even called and verified on the phone. So basically you lied to me. Then you don't even care when I say something about it. Last time I was here it was 25 min of not being acknowledged setting at the counter before someone bothered to ask if I'd even like a drink! I had to even get my own menu. And then there was the night they were trying to close at 10pm while people were still eating. I get closing sections but some of us kinda felt like we were being pushed out. If this is how you want to operate a business then maybe you should change your hours so there is no question about whether a man can get a decent meal or not. And maybe not treat regulars this way. It's a shame this is one of the last great places to stop at and the whole truck stop basically closes except for fuel. Even the store is closed at 1030. So no coffee or anything. Keep being greedy and loose business because that's how people roll these days. But take my comments for what it's worth as im sure they won't read it or let alone care that they are driving me...
