Burger King — Restaurant in Hudson

We don't expect much out of BK and only stopped because it was about 11:15pm and didn't have a choice. We were coming home from a football game. When we pulled up, 2 employees were outside and appeared to be smoking. They eventually went inside but took several minutes to come to speaker to take our order. Hope they washed their hands. They were extremely rude while taking the order. We ordered tea and were told they were out because they were closing. I looked at the clock. It was 11:11 pm. The sign said they closed at 12 am. I did not realize they had a limited menu after a certain time. After, I paid she didn't give me a receipt. I asked for it. She told me that she would put it in the bag. I asked 3 times before she would give it to me!!! All in all...HORRIBLE service. The food we received was not as we ordered and was made very sloppily...but at that point, we gave up. I called this AM to share with manager...wasn't given store manager...and the person I spoke to said she'd relay the message to the store manager BUT the woman working last night was one of their managers and only had a few more days and wouldnt be there anymore....REALLY???!!! I don't eat fast food often, so the times I do experience it, the experience weighs much more than I would expect it to for the average person.

That said, Burger King in Hudson must intuitively know that, because the experience was nothing short of perfect.

Cheyenne was both my speaker attendant and cashier. She kept all the right pleasantries without sounding "fake," and she offered no irritation when I needed time to browse the menu or when I had modifications to make to my order, like no ice in my drink.

I ordered a bacon king burger combo and a twix pie to go with it. The burger and fries were hot and tasted fresh! I worked fast food for a long time, and I know that it wasn't an ideal hour for the freshest food (I was there around 2:30), so they were clearly taking care of their product! The twix pie contained instructions to thaw Saturday, use by Sunday, indicating a very structured use of the food, and it was followed! Additionally, my order was entirely correct, also not a guarantee with restaurants in general, a testament to "the King's efforts.

TL;DR This Burger King is a model of what a fast food restaurant should be doing, I'll definitely be visiting again next time I'm able to...

OK, had to write this review because of the coffee! The BK in Lenoir sells diluted coffee (as does the McDonalds), so I would buy my coffee next door at the Wendy's. This morning, however, we decided to use a breakfast coupon that included sandwiches, fries and a large cup of coffee. I already had a tea from home, and never opened the coffee to put in the cream and sugar figuring it was likely the diluted stuff they pass out in Lenoir. When I got to my destination outside of Charlotte, I left the coffee in the truck and went about my business completing several tasks before running out of tea. I decided to try the coffee. It was still somewhat warm, but I had a microwaver, so 'no sweat.' I opened the container and it was BLACK COFFEE! It took three creamers and as many sugars and would make Starbucks proud! I had my wife take a taste - because I was surprised. She was as well. It's out of the way most times, but it's going to be my Southbound breakfast stop as long as they have serious coffee!
