I would like to leave a one-star review warning people to reconsider. Just to get a tiny bit of visibility, even if it's on this small of a scale. I'm not knocking or disagreeing with the people who left five-star reviews. I'm only saying that not everyone gets that level of treatment. Some people have been disserviced. Some people really have just wasted their money, effort, and SO MUCH time. I don't have the eloquence to come off as anything more than a disgruntled student. However, I believe it is important to give the next person more validity.
Your experience as a new-to-this-college student could end up being a five-star-worthy experience. I’d only like to point out, that is not a given. Experiences here are based on many factors, the most important being the program you choose. Unless you have heard reviews speaking about a specific program at this college, I urge you to take generic or unspecific positive reviews with a grain of salt. (The nursing program is the only one I personally keep hearing glowing reviews of.)
I came into this program with an idealistic mindset, thinking support would be plentiful. I did not expect to be met with blatant dismissiveness, passive-aggression, and inconsistencies. For any prospective students to CCC&TI, please consider all your options. If this is still what you must do… at least you’re not going in completely blind. Read moreAttention all new students taking English: Mr. Matt Williams is the ONLY REASON this school gets 5 stars. Yeah, they're great with helping you get started, however Mr. Williams in the English department is the best instructor I've ever had. He is the only reason why I haven't given up this semester. Each week when getting ready for my classes, I'm prepared to smile just looking at his feedback. He aims to actually educate you, he focuses on how you can better yourself and does not ridicule you like some instructors I have and have had. He understands- we are human! About the school, I take my classes online now, and it's been a while since I've actually took any on campus, but typically l never had any issues navigating the campus nor had any issues with my other instructors. Overall, if you're in it to win it here your dreams are achievable! They have a great transfer program too. I most definitely prefer CCCTl over CVCC if you're looking for community colleges...
Read moreTerrible school. Weird policies and rules you have to follow. Everytime you called asking about something extremely important they never answer their phones and take forever to call back. When I posted this review the student services Vice President called. She said she would handle it. I have yet to hear back from her. The other lady in the business office said they could not give me my refund bc fafsa processing and could give me my money next week. Leaving me with less than four dollars in my account. The lady in the business office was rude and didn’t try to help me out. She said she would call to have me pick up my check. Still no words in two days. I don’t recommend this school it is a joke with weird policies...
