I've been a loyal patron of Cookies Diner for years, and I can confidently say it's one of my favorite spots in town! My husband and I decided to go out to breakfast on a Monday morning so we went to cookies cafe. When we got there they had four tables with the total of nine maybe 10 people between the tables. There was one waitress and there was someone sitting in the back at a table covered in papers with a laptop out. Not extremely busy but I do understand that there is an employer shortage so My husband and I wait to be sat while the waitress was finishing taking care of someone's bill. My husband and I stood in the doorway from the front room to the room that everyone was sat at and you could absolutely see us. The waitress went and gave people their change from their bill and then she walked to the room that the person sitting at the table with the laptop out was in put her elbow on a counter put her head on her hand and started talking with him and did not acknowledge us at all. My husband and I then walked out and went somewhere else for breakfast. It ended up being an amazing breakfast somewhere else and I'm actually kind of happy that we had...

The food was amazing. Every picture I saw from reviews before I went did it justice. The service was good, balanced as never having to ask for my water being refilled but a little slow on the check (though we were in no rush and never once felt rushed to leave, and we were reasonably attended to).

The atmosphere was bland, but I also wasn't looking for an overwhelming experience either and it felt very comfortable. Tables were pretty close together and ambient conversation carried. Not a complaint, it was nice to not have to yell to have a conversation.

Overall, will definitely go back many times because the food really was just that good. And definitely affordable!!! Two very big meals (technically three!), with extras, sides, milkshakes, and drinks came to about $65. Normal meal here would be comfortably around $20-$25 per...
