Findeisen's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Hudson

Not sure why this place is packed.

My daughter did a take home order of 1 hard serve kiddie cup with 2 toppings and 1 soft serve kiddie cup. It cost $9. These were served in plastic deli containers. The soft serve was served in an 8 oz thin plastic deli container. I have never seen ice cream served this way. It was not a hot/cold container, like the kind you get soup in.

The plastic containers did not keep the ice cream cold. The soft serve portion was miniscule for the price, and not on par with the kiddie servings from the other local ice cream places. Just a few bites of ice cream and melted liquid. The picture shows the remains of the soft serve, which was not filled to the top of that very small container.

Sadly, I can't recommend this place. Stick with Moo's, Hayward's, Mack's or even DQ (kiddie cup is bigger and offers better...

The man who was working the window is not the greatest. He walks away mid placing order and expects you to keep rambling your order to him. Along with that he was just rude and not personable whatsoever. The girls who are working are always great to talk to, but he is the opposite.

The ice cream itself does provide good portion sizes, however it has ice crystal (almost always), which is not something I look for in ice cream, ever.

2 stars because the portion size slightly saved them from the rude order taker. After-all, it is ice cream, but I wouldn’t recommend Findeisen’s over other local ice...

When they were open. I went there with my Son and the young girls were to busy paying attention of some boys they knew, on the phone and just kept getting orders wrong. They weren't wearing gloves to scoop the ice cream and they put nuts on the banana split that my son and I were sharing after she asked me twice about not having them on it. Also the banana split looked nothing like the picture. I don't know if I will return...
