Tacos Los Callejeros — Restaurant in Humble

I heard about this place and decided to get some birria for lunch since the website does a great job of advertising, ordered some barbacoa and birria tacos (pointing at pictures of what I wanted) paid and was given the food in a very efficiently timed manner. Get to work to give everyone the tacos and they are all small street tacos with no consume or anything typically associated with birria. The barbacoa were eaten since they were small but correct and were near flavorless as if made in the Midwest where pepper is considered “too spicy” . I decided to reach back out about the birria tacos since it seemed the order was mistaken. I called in twice but got no answer so I decided to “maybe there is a lunch rush and they can’t answer the phone, understandable.” So I drove down to see about the order and was shocked to flare the place almost empty and even more surprised when I was told that it was my fault (even though I pointed to pictures of what I was ordering and clearly have never been here before). Then the phone rang and they immediately waved me off and answered the phone while turning away from me until I walked out. Tried to support a local joint, but I have had better tacos out of gas stations in Florida and better service at DMVs. Support a different business because this one is not worth...

Highly recommended! 🌮🔥 If you’re looking for an amazing meal deal, this is the spot! Their $1 tacos on Tuesdays and Thursdays are seriously unbeatable. The tacos are flavorful, fresh, and made with quality ingredients not the tiny, bland “deal tacos” you find at other places. These actually taste good, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve.

What I also love is that even though the tacos are just $1, the portions are still generous. You get great value without sacrificing taste or quality. It’s the perfect place to come if you’re grabbing lunch, a quick bite, or even feeding a group on a budget.

The atmosphere is inviting, and the employees were friendly and attentive. Service was quick and smooth, even during the busy $1 taco rush. They clearly know what they’re doing and handle it well.

When I first moved to Humble, this was the first restaurant I tried in the area. And every time I order from them, I have to deal with unpleasant customer service from the lady that works the front counter. I guess if you aren’t Hispanic, they treat you as if you’re less than they are which couldn’t be further from the truth lol. Some of the cooks in the back just stand and stare at you for no apparent reason. I even caught myself have a staring contest with one of them yesterday. The burrito that I ordered was so mid & disgusting that I threw it in the trash after a couple of bites. That was a waste of $13 not to mention they play with the prices from time to time. Not only have they lost me as a customer but I have also been spreading the word to more ppl who aren’t of Hispanic descent so that they may never have to go through what I had to go thru.
