First I want to say that the food is generally pretty good. We live about 20 miles away and make a small road trip to go to this place. Also, I understand that they are close to Hershey and it is tourist season.
Given this, I am giving this 3 stars due our most recent several visits. Last week we went and their wings now state "market price." We asked the server how much they were and she said that they were $13 for 10, so we placed an order. Only when we got our bill did we notice that there were only 9 of them and we were charged $15. This particular server seems to be the only one ever working on Sunday nights (by herself) and seems partially overwhelmed with the volume of business but she has gotten our order incorrect several times as well.
Tonight, June 20th, we arrived at 5:30 pm. There was one family at one table and a group in the semi-secluded are between the bathrooms and main dining area. We quickly noticed that this group was very loud with one person standing up the whole time. Several times we had to pause while placing our order because the volume coming from the group was way over the top. We ordered a small pizza to eat there and several items to go, including garlic knots. She brought the garlic knots out a few minutes later to eat there, as she didn't listen to our order. She took them and brought back the same order, boxed to go, so they were no longer hot when we left.
We found out later that the loud group was actually the owner and friends/family. Why they think that it's acceptable to be so loud an annoying that other customers can't enjoy a peaceful meal is beyond me. It will be the last time we eat there for quite some time. Very disappointing that a business owner has no regard for his customers by hosting a loud group and not employing...
Read moreNever received the order I paid for and was greeted with a suspicious, unfriendly, and outright disrespectful response. After a long 14+ hour shift as a travel RN in an extremely sick ICU, I was then going to take pizza to a family friend who is battling cancer while sick in the hospital. I ordered online, called the restaurant to confirm, and informed them I would be slightly late d/t circumstances out of my control at work. I asked if I could still get my pizza about 10-20 min late, to which the person on the other end rudely responded, while loudly sighing on the phone with, “yeah I’ll be here”. When I arrived 15 min later to pick up my order, with a $100 tip in my purse that I went out of my way to pull from the ATM as a token of appreciation for working around my untimeliness, I was immediately greeted by a group of 5 young men who were disrespectful and trying to “shoo” people away. When they finally did acknowledge me, the worker first told me I was at the wrong Jojos location and they had no “pizzas left in the oven”. When I showed them my confirmation on slice which was placed 45-60 min prior, they still tried to convince me it was not the right location. I continued to explain that it was, again, showing my receipt. They then said, “we already delivered it” I said it was for pick up, which it clearly stated on the receipt. They then responded, while laughing, that they “just gave it someone else”. Interesting how that story changed 3 times to meet whatever apparent narrative they were trying to convince me of. No refund was offered. No apologies or offers for customer reconciliation. Unprofessional, scammy, and simply disrespectful and will never ever recommend anyone support a business who hires and supports employees with this type of...
Read moreWe traveled from Buffalo NY to Hershey for a family vacation... There was 13 of us and we had a difficult time finding places to eat especially for our group size. Allot of places are closed or carry out only. Today after spending the day at the park, 8 of us were hungry and wanted to sit down and eat. After calling 8 places and striking out, we found this place on Google search but it was not the first thing that popped up it was down the list... Which is crazy because THIS LITTLE PLACE IS A GEM! I'm so sad we didn't find this yesterday for all 13 of us!! The food is phenomenal.... Every thing we ordered was perfection and I'm a picky person with my food! The onion rings weren't greasy and they were so crunchy and perfect, my cheeseburger sub was on a fresh soft roll, best sub b I've had since I don't know when! The mozzarella sticks, clams linguine, boneless wings, stuffed shells, chicken quesadilla, french fries and pizza ALL ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! If I ever had a food place in my hometown...I'd search out this cook and beg to hire them! Our waitress was quick, friendly, and eager to help make our dining experience as a family cozy. I am so happy nothing else worked out because this place was perfect for us, it's small but roomy, quaint, cozy, warm, everything we were needing! If we come back to hershey we will only eat here and we will let everyone know to also...
