This was my first time there.
Beachwood Pizza & Beer has a very nice layout and vibe. I like how the inside opens up to their outdoor seating that is completely open vs blocked with privacy walls and sunshade. The staff member were all nice and friendly. There are TV's throughout the restaurant, and 2 unisex restrooms that are clean.
I went around 3:15 pm today and there were not many people there yet. By the time I left around 5:15 pm it was busy, which is great for the business and for others to know that this is a popular establishment.
I took the wings to go and didn't try it yet, but it looks flavorful and not dry. The pizza was good, with a thin crust that was crispy and not wet. I was surprised that they charge extra to put jalapenos that comes with the pizza, on the side. That should not be the case. They make their own chilli peppers, chili oil, and maybe the balsamic vinaigrette. I don't recall if they make that one in house. I like how they have moist towelettes at the tables so that you can wipe your hands.
I prefer coffee stout beer and like the Imperial stout better than the coffee porter. My husband likes IPA's but tried the Hef Leppard instead and liked it. I also liked that beer.
This location is more like a restaurant than a taproom. I don't believe they have happy hours right now, but if they do then that would be great! I would...
Read moreWent to this new spot strictly for the pizza. We got a cheese pie and their version of the Hawaiian (Johnny tsunami). Inside the joint was very nice. Staff was competent and friendly. Wait time was about 20 minutes for the two pies. I saw the chefs in the back grating some parmesan on the cheese pie as the final touch before bringing it out. These guys seemed to care about their craft. We tried a slice on the street right out of the oven to give it a fair chance to impress us. The cheese looked fantastic. Perfect amount of flop. Nice undercarriage. Our favorite attribute of this pie was the dough. Perfect balance of crisp and chewiness. Flavor was on point. Good amount of cheese, not too much not to little, also not too greasy. I will say the pizza was lacking just a little more sauce. If I could have had just 1-2 more tablespoons of sauce to give the pie a little more acid from the tomato, this could have easily been a high 7’s low 8’s pie. My rating 7.3. I can’t forget to mention the big portions. Definitely worth the cost. Pass on the ranch - not worth the 75 cents, save it to tip your servers. We will be back to dine in and try some beer too. Very happy to have Beachwood Pizza & Beer in the...
Read moreJust got back from eating here because a friend of ours works here. Food was good, seemed like a good place to eat, up until the end. We paid and just as we were paying we were offered a discount by the front team. We felt honored & accepted such gesture. We paid, left and soon after our friend called us saying they got introuble because of the discount the front team had offered us so they began talking bad about us because we tipped them what is according to them "very poorly." Just left me wondering how appreciative you guys are of your employees. Sorry ma'am but not everyone earns the same amount of income others do, and not EVERYONE DESERVES TO BE TIPPED. So after this, of course, we were glad to not have tipped as much as they were demanding and are also glad to never come back here again or recommend any of their places because of this. Not to mention, We NEVER asked for a discount, it was offered after we had asked about a person...
