Del Taco — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

I ordered on the app at 1: 30am and this location closes at 3:00am, according to google. I got there 4 min later as I live nearby and there was no one in sight. They still charged my card for the order I placed. So in the morning I called back in and spoke to the manager Cameron in which he basically said there's nothing he can do and I had to do it from my end. We spend 15min on the phone trying to figure it out but there is no way to cancel and refund. So then he acts like he wants to help and never gets back to me. I called two days later, which is today, to follow up and he now says he cant help because it's a separate company that deals with the app. He basically was feeling like he was just putting the blame on me the entire time we spoke. At this point I'm pissed because I'm fighting with this manager to get my money back on a order I didn't receive because they decided to close early. Also, Cameron did admit to me that sometimes they close early if they are not busy. So I told him I'm just going to come down there and get cash and he was saying he can't do it. I ended up hanging up on him and having to waste my gas to drive down there again. As soon as I walked in I asked for my money and he was mumbling some rubbish under his breath while handing it to me. Really set me off that this "manager" could be so disrespectful to a customer. I wasted about 30-35min in total with dealing with Cameron and trying to get money back. Very big inconvenience on my day. My family has been coming here since I was a baby, 33 years basically. My adult son ordered lunch for us, there was a pubic hair in the French fries. I returned the fries and a burrito to the store the manager told me, “you won’t believe it, but it came this way in the frozen bag of fries.” I asked if they deep fried the fries, he said yes, I told him he was right, I don’t believe his attempt to pass the Buck onto the fry supplier. But worth that said maybe Craft foods can no longer be trusted! I suspect one of the workers in the kitchen didn’t wash their hands or is just a pig. The manager asked if my son goes to the high school down the street, what is the implication there? No, as a matter of fact he is a distinguished young man who has awards from the U.S.Air Force!

Be advised this Del Taco charges 25-150% more for the food than any nearby Del Taco. Examples: Al Carbon Chicken Taco $2.49 vs $1.00, Crispy Chicken Taco $1.39 vs. $1.00, Epic Crispy Chicken Burrito $6.89 vs. $5.00, medium ice tea 1.39 vs. $1.00. Crispy Chicken and Fries $4.99 vs. $4.00. Their Dollar Deal menu is a scam, nothing is a dollar. Drive to the one on Brookhurst and Hamilton or Yorktown and Main, they truly have the value menu pricing.
