Quality to cost ratio is great. The fish is very fresh, fatty, and soft. The workers are very polite and kind as well. I would definitely give it a shot if exploring the area. I personally ordered Sushi combo B, Unagi roll, and the California (all are good choices). The unagi blew me away for the price, it’s hard to find unless traveling to a high end spot Not much room inside, so most would probably pickup/ use a delivery app.

I can vouch for how good the food was here at Komeya! Welcoming atmosphere with friendly faces. Place is great for takeout with how fast the food comes out, though there are some tables for dine-in. Highly highly recommend the chicken nanban but everything else was just as delicious like their sushi, salads, and curry. They also had a variety of cold drinks that are super refreshing. Will come back to try more :)

I love Komeya! Everything tasted so good, and the food came out quickly. The sushi was fresh, the chicken was moist, and the drinks were tasty. Service was excellent as well! Everyone was super nice and welcoming, and the staff gave me recommendations on what to try. I especially enjoyed the chicken nanban and salmon skin roll! We ate at one of the tables outside the restaurant. I’ll definitely be back!

Komeya is truly a hidden gem! I loved everything I've tried from here. The sashimi bowls are amazing for the price-- they're generously loaded with thick cuts of beautifully fresh fish on top of perfectly cooked/seasoned sushi rice that is reminiscent of the kind you would find in actual Japan. A new Japanese restaurant in Huntington Beach next to Trader Joe’s?! Amazing. The sushi is very high quality and you can tell that all the food is made with care.

It’s mainly a takeout place but there are a few tables inside and outside. The wait was not long and the service was great!

So far I’ve tried the sushi nigiri combo with the crunch roll, the katsu curry, and the calpico drinks. The prices are fair and affordable. I will definitely be back to eat my way through the rest...
