First timer to Basil Thai and it was quite good. The location is a small place with a dozen tables and at 5pm on a Thursday, not busy. The anchor store for this shopping center was obviously T.J. Service was fast, english was spoken clearly at my table with I guess Thai (?) spoken behind the counter. I had Chicken Basil Thai Fried Noodle plate and Tom Yum Noodle Bowl. I could not finish it all which is a good thing for takeaway. Both have a light spicy foundation that was not overwhelming and sufficient for lighter Thai palates. As a local customer, I will return.

This place is great! The staff is so friendly and helpful. Love their pad Thai, so fresh and yummy. The panang curry is delicious, but I think the next time I go I’ll ask for a little less spicy. The curries also do not come with rice so you have to ask for an extra side of rice. Was a really big fan of the cream cheese puffs, but the fried chicken dumplings weren’t my favorite. Normally I’m a big fan of Thai iced tea but I felt like it was a little too concentrated.

We've been customers for years and considered this place to be one of the best Thai places around but the last few meals have been hit or miss and tonight the orange chicken they delivered was so unappetizing that I had to call and ask for my money back. They offered me a credit for my meal but after this latest delivery I cant see myself wanting to risk another subpar dinner being delivered. See the attached photo of the gross orange chicken they delivered tonight.

First of all I had the wonton soup a few days prior and I was just so impressed I thought it was the best soup I've ever had and I thought to myself this is my new place for soup it was just so good with the shrimp and the wontons and the chicken and the onions and the spinach and the light broth it was just perfect I've just haven't had that kind of soup in a very long time and I was very happy and that was my first time eating there well this time first of all calling there I must have got hung up on about 20 times every time I call either I was put on hold never had a response of hello then finally I got through to somebody and ordered wonton soup as I did the last time and in order of the calamari tempura I was told 15 minutes I got there 15 minutes my food was already there out and by the register picked it up got home the calamari tempura was not calamari tempura it was calamari rings breaded I took a bite and it was like stringy coming out I mean it did not taste right it tasted fishy it tasted like it wasn't cooked all the way it was disgusting the soup was salty like it was old like it been sitting in a pot for days it was over salty there was one shrimp that was like super shriveled up like it been boiled over and over and that was it out of a large soup one shrimp the wontons were soggy and gross everything was horrible like it been sitting out or it was like an old old soup I called and attempted to let them know how I felt then I got put on hold and then I got hung up on every time I would call back it would either put me on like it wouldn't answer it wouldn't say anything it would just put me on this like hold and then I would hang up and call back finally got three to somebody I was so irritated and so upset they didn't seem to really care I said I was going to bring the food back and wanted my money back she didn't really care they were just rude and I will never ever go back to that place it was the worst food in service ever I'm very...

Too pricy for mediocre food and poor customer service. I ordered the Pad-see-ew (lunch special), Crying Tiger and Thai Tea "to-go" I was told it would take 30 mins for my order because they were busy however, there were only few customers dining when I ordered. So I asked if I could have it delivered, I live across the street and my bill was $27.97 (qualifies for their free delivery) the woman tells me then it would take an HOUR to get me food ?!? I choose to go ahead and wait (outside). Upon my return I see a bag stapled closed and ready to go, but I didn't see my tea so I ask for it and the guy says it's in the bag and opens it to show me, so glad he did because it's then that I see they've forgotten the rice and salad I also see the "Crying Tiger", mind you that's a $14.95 dish that turns out to be a large slab of beef with a lot of fat and some over cooked broccoli, it looked very unappetizing. I tell him they need correct my order and I want a refund for the Crying tiger because I do not want it. Meanwhile, there is a customer next to me who seems to have been charged for another tables meal! She's trying to get a refund and the lady behind the counter clearly has no idea what she's doing. It took them an extra 30 minutes to get salad, rice and refund me (also, the guy helping me tried to give me $14.95 not accounting for the tax, he couldn't figure it out so I had to do the calculation for him) all the while the situation with the customer and female cashier really starts to escalate, yelling and whatnot. It ended up taking me an hour to finally get my food and it defiantly wasn't worth it! The broccoli was overdone, chicken was dry and noodles were pretty much flavorless. I'm surprised they didn't mess up the tea! I will not be returning and I would never recommend it. I usually only get Thai food from "Silk Thai" and from now on that's where I will keep going. Thai Basil was a waste of...

Jan 2024 Update: we have ordered here a lot the last 6 or 7 months . But it seems like the food and take out service is getting worse. Jungle curry with chicken was way too spicy. They have mixed up our food with other people's, and this last time they even gave our food to somebody else whom I'm sure is very upset at the moment! We are also very upset because now we have to wait for our takeout to be cooked which defeats the point of takeout convenience. The dishes too have actually less food in them. I ordered the yellow curry and it had hardly anything in it. It was mostly liquid. A couple of potatoes that were chopped up and two pieces of carrots, and a few slices of chicken. But there must have been at least HALF AN ONION in there which kind of made it taste gross! So whoever is cooking doesn't seem to have the average taste buds as they overload with half an onion in one bowl of soup. The Ginger lover dish has started to taste really gross. It's just overloaded with ginger to the point where it's nauseous. August 2023 review: Food was delicious. The reason I did not give it five stars is because the number 44 was a little bit salty and the Thai iced tea was too sweet. But we will definitely come back for more, and when I order I'll tell them to go easy...
