Sebastianis, nestled in a strip mall, offers a nostalgic neighborhood vibe with two sides: a bar area featuring live music and a dining area with tables. The live music initially had me wondering if I’d stumbled into a karaoke night.
The décor is an eclectic mix of Italian-themed artwork, adding a quirky charm. The friendly staff contributes to a welcoming atmosphere. However, the wine bar aspect is a bit underwhelming, with a limited selection and a well-worn menu.
The 15-inch kitchen-style tiles on the floor were more detracting than enhancing, giving the space a somewhat dated feel.
The starter bread was basic but paired nicely with a tasty pesto dip. The caprese salad was fresh, though it felt like something I could easily make at home. The eggplant parmigiana was flavorful but a bit too soft for my liking. My wife enjoyed the chicken Florentine, which featured moist chicken, though the pasta was a bit too wet. The portions were generous.
Sebastianis excels in providing a solid, home-style Italian dining experience without aiming for high-end sophistication. Note that a 3% surcharge applies to credit card payments. Overall, it’s a cozy spot that delivers on its promise of being a friendly, local...
Read moreAfter reading all the glowing Yelp reviews, I kept this place bookmarked! It was a Saturday evening and we were looking for some good comfort food with the cold and rain. I remembered marking this place and wanting to give it a go.
We popped in and got seated in the wine bar area, which offers live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Live GOOD music. :) It was a great touch and loved how cozy the place felt.
We each started with a glass of the Cab. The wine selection is really nice here BTW. I definitely underestimated it from first appearance. While we were still figuring out dinner, they brought out a fresh basket of bread with a pesto dipping sauce. It was super yummy!!
For dinner we ordered the Ravioli di Spinaci and Rigatoni alla Lauren. Both dishes were amazing. I did modify the rigatoni a tad bit....left out the bacon and opted in for sun-dried tomatoes and sauted onions. The food was fresh and quality of ingredient proved exactly that.
The service was outstanding. There is definitely something about service with a smile and they really do go above and beyond here with that. Our waitress was extremely friendly and knowing that it was our first time in, offered some great entree...
Read moreCame here o the recommendation of some friends to celebrate my moms 70th birthday. We sat in the wine bar section of the restaurant which has high top type tables. Full menu was available so it was easier to sit on this side.
I was told the cream of mushroom soup was yummy so I started with that. It was definitely yummy! Bread was served with pesto spread and marinara. I usually love pesto but I soaked up all of the marinara.
For our main dishes we had fettuccine Sebastiani which was sundried tomatoes and mushrooms in an Alfredo sauce. We also had rigatoni Lauren which had spicy sausage and mushrooms in a pink sauce. I preferred the rigatoni!
They surprised my mom with tiramisu which was delicious.
During the entire dinner they had a guitarist that was playing music from “her era” as she put it. The ambiance was exactly what we were looking for tonight.
I will definitely bring my friends &...
