ATTENTION: Please DO NOT place orders for a Wedding Cake from Sweet Traders in Huntington Beach, CA! If I could give ZERO Stars I would!! I advise you as a conscious customer who did a lot of research before coming here... Don't be fooled by the 5 Stars they carry on Yelp. I had a horrendous experience with the cake delivered to the venue on my wedding day from Sweet Traders. Samantha Muzzy, Head Pastry Chef and eventually the owner Rachael Louw did not care about my concern and complaint after requesting a Full Refund for the very hard, dry, gummy consistency, no taste 3 tier cake they created for me. Not the same soft cake and filling I tasted at the tasting appointment. My guests, the groom and I (bride) noticed that something was wrong with the cake and left it on the tables. This broke my heart! I submitted a complaint via email and left a couple of messages wanting to talk to a live person regarding my wedding cake order that was unsatisfactory hence the $720 price tag. I was left in the cold! I was only given the runaround from Samantha and Rachael for not calling me back. I was also told the owner was on vacation, but that she was firm on her decision, disregarding my feelings, concerns and complaint and it being a nuisance. All they did was reach out via email with lame excuses of why the cake was the way it was (blamed the weather) and offered me $50 then $100 as final consolation prize for ruining my special...

My husband and I recently got married at SeaCliff Country Club and had the most beautiful cake from Sweet Trader's Bakery! We went in for a complimentary tasting, which was so much fun! We had a hard time deciding which flavors to choose because there were so many delicious options and combinations. We ended up opting for a marble cake with cookies and cream filling for one layer, and chocolate cake with praline cream for the other two. Both turned out delicious and our guests loved them. Their staff was incredibly helpful in designing our cake to perfectly match our theme and decor. She gave suggestions and customized the design; it turned out perfect. They provided us with gold cake board to match our decor for no additional cost. Andrea was always quick to reply to our emails and was flexible and supprotive when we had to reschedule our wedding twice due to COVID. They offer gluten free options, which was important for several of my guests and myself. Sweet Traders also includes a one year anniversary cake, so you don't have to worry about storing that top tier or slice in your freezer! Sweet Traders was a godsend! We were married November '17. They were an ease to work with and I am so happy that we chose them as our wedding baker. The whole process was easy and seamless from start to finish. The tastings were timely and efficient as well as the flavor choices. The end product was fabulous! They are responsive and professional! We would highly recommend them! and after going to the initial tasting we were sold. Samantha was so helpful and the service was consistently excellent during the planning process. We wanted a cake that matched our wedding decor, I brought in a picture I found from Pinterest and Samantha not a problem they could re-create it. We did a 3 tier cake bottom layer was Devils food with Oreo whip cream and the top two were Lemon with Raspberry cream. We chose the Italian Vanilla buttercream for the icing not only was our wedding cake stunning, the taste and quality of the cake was amazing. I am in love with the detail pictures of our cake.
