MAMA CHILA MENUDO POZOLE CHILAQUILES EMPANADAS — Restaurant in Huntington Park

I was excited this morning to be here for the first time to get me some menudo🥣 I was so happy until I opened up my menudo and saw and tasted what I did the menudo was very mildly warm like it was brought from the freezer and put it in the microwave very minimal amount of time and when I walked up to the door I did not smell menudo at all and that's what I knew she must have brought it from the freezer from an old pack that had just been sitting there it was very disappointing. The menudo looks very old and dark brown that's usually a sign of older menudo that's been recooked over and over I also found burnt pieces of menudo that was burnt from the bottom of the pan from past menudo being made 😮‍💨 the overall taste was not there and it wasn't very flavorful at all and like I said it wasn't even hot it was lukewarm which was sad for me because I've been waiting for this menudo since yesterday and I actually wanted to come last weekend and even called about it but they only accepted cash and I didn't have cash on hand then. I like to eat good food good fresh food and this place was definitely not that and it sucks because I was so excited to be there I wanted to post that I was at her place and make her place shine on my social media...

Every time I swing by to get some food on the weekends I never have any complaints. Mama chila never disappoints. Everything I’ve tried is delicious from her empanadas to her pozole and menudo it’s always hitting so good! She even does special orders for events so it makes it so easy to have family over for some menudo on Sunday morning when the fam all hung over. I’ve been to other places and they over charge so much but when I go to Mama Chila she always hooks up the portions for the price it seems very fair to me considering everything is so expensive everywhere else. Swing by you won’t be disappointed. They’re so friendly and welcoming and the service is always so quick and on point....

Best chilaquiles I’ve tried in a while. It’s a great place to eat, even better when you’re crudo. Service is fantastic. Great family...
