Lincoln House & Co. Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Huntley

By far, the worst service I have ever received. I have been to this place a handful of times as it’s something different from all of the chain restaurants around the area. I called over the phone to place an order at 11:25 and was finally given my food half an hour later. When I brought it to my mom‘s work to surprise her with it, the order was completely wrong. I called Lincoln house and expressed to them that this was not my order and they told me that they have my order and I can come and pick it up. I told them at this point it has been an hour since I ordered the food and I would rather have it be remade than pick up cold food. They offered me a refund and I told them I would like the food to be remade. After driving the 20 minutes back to the restaurant I was told that they hadn’t even started on my order and they would need a manager’s approval before they could either remake it or refund my order, which was not something I was told over the phone. I waited another 20 minutes before being handed my food not one. I’m sorry or my apologies was said. The girl upfront made such a big deal about handing me the wrong order and was very unfriendly. While the coffee here is good, it is inconsistent, expensive, and I've never had a positive service experience. I love supporting local small businesses, but the staff here is always cold and not welcoming. You have to press a button at the register to receive help. The last time I visited, two girls were talking behind the counter while I looked at the menu. They looked at me as I walked up to the register to order, made direct eye contact, then went to the back where I saw them continue to chat and laugh behind the window in the door. So I had to press the button to order. This was not a unique experience at Lincoln House.

It's crazy that two lattes with oatmilk and fees comes out to $20, but the staff can't even acknowledge you or pretend to be friendly. I understand having the service button if they're tied up in the back, but it seems like the employees take...

This little coffee shop & wine bar in Huntley is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I decided to try their Avocado Toast, and it was honestly one of the best I've ever had. The bread was perfectly toasted, the avocado was fresh and creamy, and the toppings were a delicious combination of flavors and textures. I also had a Caramel Macchiato But it's not just the food that makes Lincoln House & Co. special. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service was prompt and attentive.
