Tufano's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Huntley

I had a TERRIBLE experience with Tufano's! I was hosting a Graduation party and had ordered some pizza's and a catering package about a month in advance. I had called two days before the party to ask if I could add some sweet peppers to our order. The manager had to retake the order then began to get unprofessional on the phone when I verified that I was able to use a coupon. He would not accept a coupon that was originally used for the initial order. He stated "Well, we didn't have your order anyways. So, we will just cancel it." He then abruptly hung the phone up. TWO DAYS BEFORE THE PARTY!! I then called the store back to verify that the order was cancelled and the girl that answered the phone confirmed. Well, the day of the party came and a man showed up to my house about an hour before the party was supposed to start. He was a "manager" that had questions about our order. I told him the situation and he said "Our managers don't talk like that. It is only me and one other guy that is the manager. I don't remember that ever happening." Well, it is wasn't him...THEN IT WAS THE OTHER MAN!! And he said that the managers "don't talk like that." Well apparently they do. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!!! Terrible service!...

I've ordered here a few times in the past but never had to order for a party. So yesterday I ordered pizza from these guys I was a bit impatient at the time. I was trying to find out what kind of special they had and it was hard to understand because they were talking so fast I unfortunately snapped a little bit as I asked him to slow down so I can understand what kind of specials they had he did it without any complaints and I ordered a few pizzas. When I showed up to pick up my pizza they were super busy. Our pizzas were made perfectly for what I asked for. I like ours a little crispier than most but not burnt. I got to give it to those guys they handled it very well specially when I was a little Snappy on the phone and now I understand why they were talking so fast because they were crazy busy when showed up. Even though they were that busy my pizza still came out great and cooked to the way I liked. So I felt like I needed to write a post about how good these guys were and thank them for their great pizza...

OK, I’m gonna be very objective here. I’ve been going to Tufanos’s for years. I’m a business owner myself, and I understand the difficulty with price structures going up in an affecting the Restaurant industry, but don’t raise your prices and then drop your quality that’s one thing I just can’t stand. I can understand the raising of food prices, but don’t think that you can fool your customers by dropping the quality, we used to get the stadium pizza and it used to be oozing with cheese now there’s barely any cheese around the outer rim of the pizza and one sausage per slice. It’s very sad. The Restaurant industry takes this approach because they’re not the only ones but unfortunately, I will not spend my money in that direction anymore, I’m not bashing them, but I’m sure I’m not the only one that notices this go back to give customers what they want.
