I've eaten here a few times, and overall just "ok" and nothing stands out as being good or great. While we've had good luck with dine-in service (again, just ok), we ordered take-out recently and talk about terrible from start to finish. Even when I took the time to stop and speak to the manager (young man, somewhat tall), who was not busy but just chatting at the hostess stand with other staff, he was aloof and frankly offered no acknowledgement. Take out orders are transferred to the bar, where if the bartender is busy, they put you on hold and then act annoyed if you ask a question or don't immediate list out your order... and really, why should they care --- they are focused in serving their customers at the bar buying drinks, food, etc. When I ask for more than one bag of chips, given we were ordering multiple meals, he immediately indicated there would be an additional charge. Really, one small bag and one small plastic cup of salsa for multiple adult meals? You would think the Manager standing around chatting at the hostess stand could find better things to do. Given I gave him a chance to acknowledge my concerns, I will not be returning and frankly, confused why Huntsville likes this place --- maybe they will wise up and find several other Mexican restaurants in the area with nicer Management and better...
Read moreY'all. I ordered "spinach enchiladas." Now there are a lot of ways you can make that concept good. But that would take knowing how to cook. Something makes me think that whoever designed this menu probably doesn't eat vegetables. And that makes me sad.
Let me paint you a picture. One enchilada is filled with what tastes like canned spinach and nothing else. It's topped with cheese and it was bland. Which is a common theme here. If you like bland, sad food you will love this place.
But wait there's more. I had a second enchilada. Filled with...steamed carrots and broccoli? Yes. With a straight face they gave me an enchilada filled with steamed carrots and broccoli.
My wife got cheese enchiladas. No sauce just cheese and more cheese with queso as a sauce.
I am baffled this place has good reviews. The best looking thing anyone got was a burrito. It looked..."okay." It looked like a slop mess on a plate in almost a good way.
If everything was cooked wrong I could write it off as a bad night. However it seemed to be prepared correctly, so I blame the person who doesn't know how to cook that made this menu.
TL;DR I seriously think taco bell is an objectively better restaurant. They have a concept, food that tastes good, it's affordable, and it's most of the time cooked to order without having to wait 20 minutes...
Read moreEdit in response to owner: my issue here is not that you refused to accept the order I was trying to place. My issue here is the manner in which your manager manager spoke to me. She had no regard for me as a person. She could have denied the order without being so rude about it. I receive my orders from the Uber platform and had no way of knowing that you would refuse it. I'm not the one who placed your business on the platform to allow customers to order from you so I feel it was unwarranted for her to degrade me for attempting to do what I was sent there to do. My review is to bring your employees behavior and attitude to light.
I am a delivery driver for Uber. This restaurant does not deliver though any delivery platforms, however Uber will allow customers to place the orders with them and delivery drivers go to the restaurant, place the order, them deliver to the customer. I went to this place to do exactly that, per my directions from Uber. The manager proceeded to get upset with me and tell me to leave because they do not deliver. The money that goes to the store is the same regardless. She did not need to treat me like trash just because I was sent there. By far one of the worst experiences I have had in Huntsville and I have been in a majority of local...
