I came into the establishment on my 40th birthday ready to grab a pizza and go home and continue to enjoy my night. But that was ruined by a racist manager by the name of Beth! I ordered a pizza and the young man at the register rung my pizza up entirely wrong. I didnāt notice until I left out and ended up checking the pizza to return back in to let them know what had happened. Simple fix! I thought right ā¦. Soon as I came in I had spoke with two of the employees and they instantly started to fix it. Here comes a lady that Iāve never seen out of the restroom with the rudest attitude ever, asking whatās the problem Iām complaining about. And Iām like y'all gave me an entire wrong pizza but theyāre making the right kind now. She looks at me and laugh like ā you were in here giving us problems last time ā Iām looking confused because itās my first time in this place ever in my life! I donāt even live in Huntsville and Iām from Ohio! Iāve only been to the wonderful Madison location and they were amazing! So Iām like maāam you have the wrong person but how am I in the wrong and causing problems when I nicely came back in to get the pizza I paid for that was wrongly made! So I sit down and my very expensive handbag and arm are resting on top of the old pizza box that they wrongly made, because they never took it and it was warm. It was a cold night so it was keeping me comfortable while waiting lol. Beth comes and snatches it from underneath me staying ā arenāt they making you a new oneā all of that went out of the window once she came into my personal space and snatch something that I was leaning on with my belongings. So Iām like hey I donāt like your energy can yāall please just refund my money. Everybody walks to the back like they didnāt hear me. So Iām standing there watching them nervously laugh with her. Scared to speak up for their managers nasty behavior. So after demanding that someone comes and refund my money back. Here she comes stating that she canāt because the new guy said that he forgot to give me a receipt. So Iām like look in the system and find the receipt and I showed the transaction on my bank statement. So sheās standing there still getting smart. Saying how she doesnāt need this job because sheās a privilege white woman. So as Iām correcting her on her ignorance! We somehow bring up the letter K. And she goes yeah K as in KKK and laughs while hitting the brown man on his arm like itās funny. I then called the police! She she ended up refunding my money once she seen them. I gave to information to others to pass to their headquarters but nothing has been done! I do not stand for racism and Beth isnāt any one that should be working in anyoneās...

We attempted to order delivery from this store and waited over an hour for delivery when the estimated time was under an hour. Which we understand things happen and delays can happen, so we call the store to inquire about our order. The staff member immediately told us without taking any of our information that our order is on its way as the driver just left 5 minutes ago. We assumed they must just have caller ID and knew who we were. We waited nearly 30 more minutes before calling again for a second time to inquire what may have happened. The woman who we spoke to who claimed was management needs a lesson in customer service and shouldnāt be in a leadership role as she sets a poor example for how good customers should be treated. Her rude attitude is less than appealing to want to eat at this place again. And she was rude for no reason. I can see if we were disrespectful and rude to her but we werenāt. And we were more than patient and understanding. But this woman straight lied claiming they attempted to call us 3 times and we never answered the phone. We sat here with phones in hand. No calls received which means no missed calls. She continued to rudely inform us after we waited all this time that they were out of bread for our subs and out of wings as well. If this was the case why didnāt they tell us that when we called to inquire about our order the first time. If they would have done there job correctly the first time around none of this would have happened and they wouldnāt have lost a previously reoccurring customer. Donatos, do better in your hiring AND training process bc your customers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been a loyal customer of Donatos since I lived in B'ham 25+ years ago. They always have had the best product. However, lately the service is going down hard. I sat in store and waited on my pizzas for 30 minutes while others around me who ordered after me got their pizzas. It wasn't until I asked multiple times that mine finally came out.
The proverbial straw came today. I ordered over the phone to pickup in their drive-thru. I was told 20 minutes and I said thank you only to be hung up on abruptly with no you're welcome or thank you in return. I had ordered a fountain sweet tea. I pulled up to the window and the dyed red headed girl handed me an empty cup with a lid and my pizzas. I asked her if she was going to put sweet tea in it and she said "we don't fill up customer's fountain drinks, you'll have to come in and do that". I let her know that this was the first time anyone has ever not filled it up for me. She proceeded to snatch the cup back and literally slammed the drive thru window closed "I'll fill it up!" and stomped off. She came back and almost threw it at me, then proceeded to slam the window again hard as she yelled at her coworker James. Both times the window bounced almost all of the way back open. When I got back to my shop we found hairs in the pizzas.
What drive thru makes you come in to fill up your own drinks? I guess she didn't realize that I order regularly from them for my entire staff and tip accordingly.
I guess she didn't realize I was planning to tip her in cash today until the treatment?
I can assure you I'll never eat at Donato's again. Really stinks because they have some of the best pizza around...
