This was my very first time to go to The Electric Belle. The only reason that I gave them 2 stars is because the music was great and the facility is clean. I ordered two drinks, one for me and one for a friend. We both got Blue Hawaii's. First thing is they were MAYBE 4 oz drinks in tiny cups with ice to the top. They were the worst tasting Blue Hawaii's I have ever had. I asked the bartender what he used to make them. He left out some very key ingredients (pineapple juice and coconut rum ... he used plain rum) and used one that does not belong in that drink (lime). He never offered to remake them he just said "when you are ready for another, tell me to make it sweeter". Thankfully, we decided not to have another drink. Upon leaving, I went to the bar to sign my tab and it was $25.00 for those two aforementioned drinks. I asked the bartender who checked me out (not the guy who made our drinks) about the cost and she said "yes, that is just for two drinks. I know, I am so sorry, it is ridiculous". So the employees are even embarrassed about what is charged for a drink there. I will not return to that venue simply because of the cost of the drinks and that one bartender made a terrible drink. Maybe they should consider other avenues to earn money if you have to pay to get in there and they have to gouge people like that...
Read moreAs part of the Stovehouse Event Center, the Electric Belle sponsors a number of events during the month — our favorite being line dancing. Even though the attendance is over 200 people, they only have it once a month. The facility has a great smooth concrete dance floor that is big enough for everyone. This is important because so many dance halls have dinky dance floors. They have hired a line dance instructor that is amazing (Lynnda Wile). She knows an incredible array of line dances from traditional dances like Boot Scooting Boogie to newer dances like Shivers and High Class. She teaches new dances starting a 6pm and goes until 8pm and then facilitates open dance by taking requests until 10pm. The beauty and magic of the event is the diverse variety of dancers — young and old, men and women, experienced and learning, all ethnicities and backgrounds — joyfully smiling in celebration of all things line dancing. The positive energy and shared love of dancing makes it a...
Read moreThe Electric Belle is a great place to receive free dance classes for only certain dances, as I haven't seen ballroom dances publicized. I have taken West Coast Swing and Bachata. The instructors were excellent.
As an elderly woman, this place is more youth-oriented. Most of the young people prefer not to dance with me, so I don't get to dance as much as I would like to. I am just providing this for your information; I am just stating the facts.
The bartender is polite, friendly, and...
