Well, I definitely do not agree with the high rated stars people gave. Was it staff that did these? Let's start out with the cool factor: It had a small playground for kids about the age of two or three years old to play on.There was a nice area outside to sit and chat with your friends. Yep cool factor over. I finally got to go on a date night with my wife. Sadly, this is the place that I chose mainly because it was new And it looked fancy on the outside. We got seated immediately. There was a musician playing and he wasn't very good. On one of the songs he was playing, he says your husband wants to be a woman. He then said, yeah, that's what it really says. If that's what it really said in the song, poor choice to play. After being seated we ordered appetizers. We ordered fried Brussels sprouts. when they came out they Looked black, they were supposed to have some honey flavor on there But that honey was at the bottom of the bowl. Then brussels spouts looked like they were soaked in grease. We also ordered the fried jalapeno, which came out Looking like jalapeno slices. They weren't bad they were okay. After we ordered our appetizer, our waitress disappeared And left us looking around in a attept to order. After about 15 minutes, our waitress returned Because I stated helloooo. My wife ordered the crab cakes. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich with mac and cheese as a side. The crab cakes were horrible. My wife said they sure just could have opened up a a bag of salmon, crushed it together with crackers and it would have been better than what was served. My ham and cheese sandwich, which the way it's displayed You would think it's on bread, there's some sliced ham and some cheese.... Nope. They sliced the ham up in little strips then put the cheese on it on a hoagie bun. The mac and cheese was very thick with no flavoring. When we told her waitress about the brussels sprouts were greasy with no honey flavor and burnt. She stated that she could go and get the chef. Here's the reality. What is the cheff going to do, explain himself? You can't fix bad food. The cool factor in the inside was they had the brewery behind the bar. But they couldn't serve certain types of beer because it did not have some certification or patent... They could give out sample cups which is cool. This is by far the worst food I have ate in texas in the last six years. After leaving the restaurant, I told my wife I would like to stick my finger down my throat and vomit because the amount of grease and the bad food, I have my system Makes me feel like diarrhea is coming very soon. God i hope so. Our bill was $48.00. They couldn't pay me to come eat this food again or even give me a free meal because I don't want to feel sick twice. After you eat here, you will think about what certification that chef has. And whether they have taste buds, because this was bad. Alcohol could not fix this. Even after we came in to the restaurant and we looked at the menu, you would think a nice new restaurant like this would have a pretty decent menu, i felt like it was limited. I'm usually one too Try to give perks where there are some. The reality is I don't think this place will last a year. I don't think they last eight months. While me and my wife were eating we were talking about how this is the grossest food we have had it in hutto. We talked about other restaurants to go to. I then apologize to my wife for wasting our money on something like this. I certainly know that everybody has their own opinion. And that's cool, try it out and you will see what i'm saying. If you're wise, you would save yourself and go to Mcdonald's. Honestly, I am let down by this restaurant I watched it being built. It looks fancy on the outside the food is a different story. What this restaurant needs though is gordon ramsey to shut it down and help them fix there food, might be their only saving grace. If you don't have taste buds, this is the...
Read moreGosh man there is just so much potential for this place. It’s in a nice spot and has a great playground area for kids that stays moderately shaded during the day. We have tried this place twice now and unfortunately I have to say, the food and cocktails leave much to be desired or rather expected based on the menu description. I ordered the blueberry old fashioned the first time and peach old fashioned the second time. If you asked me to tell you which was which I could not tell you. They are nice and strong drinks but absolutely nothing unique about them minus one has literal peaches in it and the other has literally blueberries. Otherwise they just taste like whiskey/ rye. There is an obvious flaw in how they are being made at the bar where the ingredients being used are great but not prepared correctly to bring the full potential to the drinks. For food I ordered a smokehouse salad. Reads amazing on the menu but presentation and taste lacked soooo much. This menu advertises like it should be high quality fresh made but the when it arrives at the table it looks and tastes like store bought and reheated. Flavor absent and the color is off putting… especially the chicken buffalo sliders. The second time we came I got the pot roast. It was better but still on par with what I said above.
I want to love this place and come back often with the kids because they love it the playground but I don’t think we can come back again for a third try. So far nothing food wise is fresh made. Like I said, so much potential but the kitchen and food quality NEEDS a revamp to match the environment and playground and menu...
Read moreOur server, Hannah, was awesome! She had our table and 5 or 6 others tonight - both inside and on the patio. She worked so hard and did a great job. Had a great attitude and was so friendly despite having a 5 table section and others outside. She made great recommendations. She deserves all the praise and is doing an excellent job!!!
The food is good - I recommend the burnt ends. They were so tender and had great flavor. I bit on the spicy side. The miso Caesar salad with salmon was also good. The French fries were awesome. My mother in law was not a big fan of the enchilada meatloaf, but did enjoy the Reuben. The brussell sprouts are cooked very well, but the balsamic vinegar is a touch overpowering. Live music was good. They have a wide array of local brews and fun cocktails, as well as mocktail options. They have a great outdoor area with playground! Lots of kids were playing outside on the play place. Tables were bussed and pre-bussed quickly. Hostesses were sweet! Food runners were helpful and fast. Good job front of house.
I recommend having a corrected temporary menu while you are still getting your license so that your servers don’t have to explain what is available and what isn’t available on the LBW menus. I also recommend that managers do table touches and speak to guests to ensure everything came out okay.
Overall, this is a really promising local spot and I am excited to try it again! It would be a great place to grab a snack & beer while watching a game, as they have several TVs visible from the bar and cocktail area Hopefully we can request Hannah be...
