A follow up from my last post. Was here a year ago and ended up leaving. Didnt get to try the food but looked like the place was understaffed, the the waitress was doing a lot and had a bad attitude toward the customers so we we left. My wife and I decided to try again and the food was delicious! We had combination lo mein and General Taos chicken. General Taos chicken was a lil spicier compared to other places but it was great and lo mein was delicious! There was a lil minor confusion with the waitress not speaking much English but the food was great!!!!! Was told this place had some pretty good food so we decided to try it today. We live in Round Rock and go to church in Taylor. On our way back we stopped to try it. It was lunch and thought it would be busy but there only 3 other tables occupied. The waitress was an older asian woman and as soon as she put menus on our table she asks if we are ready to order without us even picking up the menus. I tell we've never been here and we need time to look at the menu. I didnt ask her to wait but she says to call her when we are ready bcuz too busy to wait on us. So shes the only person working as waitress and cashier and has a very rude attitude! We hear her being rude to other customers and a few are giggling at her. At one point she walks towards the kitchen and loudly says I dont have all damn day to wait for food! Customers keep giggling. The food we saw being served looked really good but with this womans mouth and attitude we decided to leave and we notice another family get up and leave also. We understand she was having a bad day but we didnt want to listen to that while we eat. As I said the food looked really good so we might try again...
Read moreI don’t say this lightly but this has to be the worst chinese/ viet restaurant i’ve ever ate at. First, the owners?/employee? were just sitting around on their phone. They should get their own break area, it just makes everything look unprofessional and unwelcoming. Second, the service was mediocre, the lady told me to pay already so honestly was not comfortable leaving a tip when the service just started… but i still paid. After I received my food they were just chit chatting away and never once asked me how the food was or if i needed anything else (i usually only leave a $1 tip if it’s like that but of course i already tipped them in the beginning). Lastly,THE FOOD… no amount of words can ever convey how disappointing and frustrated i was with it. The photos itself illustrates the amount of effort put into the wonton soup. Soup was salty and very artificially flavored and don’t even get me started with the wontons! NO meat and ALL wrapper!!! My main entree was SUPER salty!!! I don’t like to heavily salt or sauce my food mainly because i want the actual taste of the food to shine and not just taste like salt or sauce. I took one bite of it and immediately went for the water. Every bite I ate I took a sip of water, it was too salty. Also, I didn’t take a photo of it but the egg roll was also like the wonton: ALL wrapper. Overall, never going back.
Disclaimer: yes, i did finish the food mainly because it was a late lunch and I didn’t eat a hearty breakfast either so i was very hungry and forced myself to swallow the salty food. Aside from that I honestly would have just left after I...
Read moreWhen we got to the restaurant, we were so excited to celebrate Father’s Day. We were greeted by a young woman who was so angry. We asked for lemon in the water. She was so upset, SLAMMING down our waters and food. It was loud and she just snarled at us. It’s wasn’t just us, she did it equally to everyone. My dad likes to be so kind to servers and asked for her name, she got PISSED and said Tiffany then threw a tantrum and attitude hardcore. When we paid later, we said we hope her day gets better. She said she didn’t like that he asked her name. If it’s a cultural thing, we are so sorry for any disrespect. But she was angry throwing the curtain to the back around and slamming dishes so hard EVERYONE in the restaurant (6 tables) were quiet!! The food was okay. The wonton soup was homemade, a little too salty and no meat in the wonton but the wonton dough was good. Pho was good. The veggies were fresh. Tiffany has a very big problem working there. This seems to be a theme over other reviews. She might single handedly drive that business into the ground. If this was just a bad day, I would let it go but this isn’t her first...
