Baba’s Famous Steak and Lemonade — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

I ordered Baba’s Famous Steak and Frozen Lemonade for delivery. I had the chopped steak burger, which was a fantastic fast-food burger. The half pound patty was cooked well and the flavors complimented each other. 4.1/5 I also had the crispy cheesesteak, which was not what I expected. It was more of a wrap than a traditional cheesesteak and could have used more bread. That being said, it was seasoned well and was quite filling. 3.6/5 I also had a strawberry frozen lemonade which was really good, mostly due to it being mostly sugar and slushy ice. I actually diluted it a bit with sparkling water. 3.2/5. Overall, Baba’s is a great option for halal fast food in Chicago and I definitely would eat there...

They handed my food to a doordasher that did not speak English. The dasher tried to force me to take an Uber eats bag. I refused and went up to this restaurant. He did not seem to have another order in his car because you would think he would check the other order. He then took a picture of a Uber eats bag when I clearly ordered through DoorDash. The owner did not remake my order after I told his staff exactly what happened and too explain it to the cook. The staff immediately started ignoring me, which I know they heard me ask what time they closed. I saw them still making food right in front of me. No manager on hand and they were closing. Although the servers are forgetful and somewhat unattentive, it's reasonable due to only two servers being available at a time. Also, considering they package the food, answer phones, and handle mobile orders, the minute lack of service is not that big of a deal as you'll still get your food in a reasonable time. Restaurant has no seating and has closed off half of the restaurant due the pandemic, and this can make their waiting area somewhat congested.
