China Garden - Hegewisch — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

I ordered the “lunch special”L05 kung po combination with chicken and with chicken fried rice for 10.95 plus tax and a .75 cent fee to order online with this page . So I chose add extras. I chose add pan fried noodles for $4.50. I pickup my order I’m missing the fried rice.. I got all noodles instead so I go in and tell the lady up front. She said you chose noodles so you got all noodles I said no I wanted the rice and added noodles, I paid extra to add noodles. I don’t think she understood me. If I was replacing my rice for noodles it should say to change to another item you pay extra no it said to add extras it gives you the option chicken, shrimp, beef,pork,rice small or large and gravy etc. waste of my money. It was not worth it, I will never order here again. Honestly Panda Express is better. I know it’s not considered authentic but tastes better. I only order from here once in a while since it’s close to me but never again. This place barely gives you any meat!! I had mostly green peppers onions and more veggies. Barely any chicken. Prices are too high, not a good value. Panda gives you more meat for their kung pao chicken and tastes way better. Do better please stop being cheap, overcharging and stealing money. They should’ve gave me a side of fried rice or I should’ve got my money back, the $4.50 since they didn’t give me an extra side of nothing! It was just the chicken po and noodles. First time and only time being here. NOT coming back. Came to buy food for my Family. So it was a big order. $87 worth of food that wasn't worth it. Got the peppered beef. Ooooh it was Peppered alright 9 mediocre pieces of beef and the rest onions and pepper Galore. Orange chicken. Oh lord, it was dehydrated chicken pieces trying to be hydrated by the greasy orange sauce. Fried shrimp was such a disappointment. The shrimp was old. It blended into the batter. When you took a bite of it. Raw smoochy batter and smashed shrimp inside. The only thing that was decent was the fried rice, egg rolls & spring rolls. That's it. Nope not going there no more. I would’ve gave them 5 stars because the food is great and the service was great too. However, I ordered Shrimp fried rice and they add beef and chicken to it. I had to pick the chicken and beef out of my fried rice while eating it. Other than that everything was good. Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long while. Now I know to check my order before I leave the restaurant.

Update: I had to come back and give them 5 stars. After looking at the menu again I realized the spicy shrimp fried rice comes with chicken and beef. Who would’ve thought that. I just thought it would be spicy. Make sure to pay attention...
