Reggies on the Beach — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

Wow....what a fabulous venue. Great little spot to enjoy a nice cold one...or a great meal! I had a chicken Cesar Salad! Outstanding. Met Ryane the manager...Sweetheart of a person. Met one of the owners Ed...Super good people. What I really appreciate and Love about this place is the location on the beach with fantastic views of Lake Michigan. You simply can't beat the view. The folks are totally chill...The food I and my guest enjoyed was outstanding and tasty in every way. Further...if Billy is working the bar...Expect a great cocktail or a sweet craft brew or whatever else you choose. The value of the experience was great and reasonable prices with fantastic service. I hope and Pray that the hood supports the place because its really well worth the experience. Parking was easy...and the bathrooms were clean and prepped. My understanding is that they may expand and go for it because this place rocks... oh by the way...forgot to mention the live music!!! You're crazy if you don't check out this venue and support it. It's a great place that as a top Google Reviewer with almost 12,000,000 views I can Highly recommend . Blessings JMAC...

ATTENTION ALL AFRICAN-AMERICAN CUSTOMERS!! YOU'RE BETTER OFF SUPPORTING THE BLACK FOOD VENDORS IN THE PARK! This establishment treats their Black guests like panzies to be scammed. I came with a party of 5 guests who ordered drinks. A friend & myself ordered 2 margaritas. Mine was incredibly salty in comparison. I tried to exchange the drink, in which an unidentified manager took the drink & poured it into a clean glass & handed it back! She then added it to my bill along with an 18% gratuity for 2 guests. My friends were also charged 20% gratuity on a bill for 3 guests. The waitress told my friend she's paying for 6 guests WHEN WE'RE A PARTY OF 5! The "manager " argued with me about taking off a drink too salty to even drink, insulting my intelligence along the way. EVEN THE FOOD WAS LACKLUSTER:The medium- well burgers were burned, the chicken burger was burned & rubbery, the wings had little to no sauce ( which was the incorrect sauce, they charge for extra)  & my friend got sick from the buffalo mac. They move into our hoods & treat us like we're untrained. BUY BLACK YOU...

I'm generally lenient at pubs, but when there is an automatic 20% service charge, I am serious with expectations. From the time we (party of two) arrived, the server took a while to get us both water and answer a general question we had about the menu. When we asked for a moment to decide drinks, she literally left us and returned almost 10 minutes later. We ordered Buffalo wings that were almost too hot to eat (even though there were two hotter levels on the menu). We requested Bleu Cheese and got ranch. We weren't offered any silverware so we had to ask for some... finally got plastic forks. At 8:45 pm we asked for more water and more ice and were told that the bar had gotten rid of all the ice for the evening (but we noticed people still coming in who were still ordering. What were they going to do about ice???

Finally, as expected at this point, the server took forever to come over for us to request the check. And of course, we were charged a 20% service charge for what deserved a 10% minimum at most.

It was perfect weather and great to sit on the beach, but...
