Went to the Garden of the Phoenix for the Cherry blossom festival and then walked 15 minutes to the Statue of the Republic. It's a beautiful statue, which is a smaller replica of the one from the 1893 World's Fair that took place in this area. It is in Jackson Park near the golf course. A few road closures in that area due to repairs...
