I hate to do this because my family and I love this place and eat here frequently. We especially love the taco pizza.
We ALWAYS tip very well to the kids that work here. The last time we were in, the girl that took our order was complaining about how they split all the tips that are from cards so she barely gets anything.
Tonight, I put in an order for 2 pizzas for carry out for. $48. I stopped at an ATM on my way to pick up the pizzas and withdrew $20 cash to give them as a tip and I had an extra $5 in my wallet.
When I went into the store, there were 2 guys and a girl back behind the counter. It took several minutes for anyone to acknowledge me, even though I was the only customer. Finally a kid came over to ring me up, I paid with a card and put $0 on the tip and had the cash in my hand, before I could even give it to him, he went over to the other workers and showed them the receipt with $0 tip and from that point forward, they were EXTREMELY RUDE.
To top it off, both of the pizzas I ordered were wrong and incomplete. My kids wouldn’t even eat theirs and we ended up throwing it away.
I have worked in the service industry and pride myself in always tipping well for good service. For someone to instantly be that rude, before they can even notice I have cash in my hand for them. Is mind blowing to me….. especially when you take into account that not one part of our order was made correctly and it is carry out. It is not like we had a difficult order. One of the pizza’s was supposed to be pepperoni and black olive. That is a difficult pizza to mess up and they still did.
Once I got home and we realized both pizzas were incorrect, my wife called in to talk to them and they were rude to her as well. I am all for tipping and tipping very welll which I have always done and intended to do, but for them to be that rude on a carry out order they messed every single thing up on.
I can guarentee you I will never go back to this...
Read moreThey have great pizza, the environment is cozy, and I've never had an issue there. I've never actually bowled here, my partner and I just come here maybe once a week or every other week sometimes, get a pizza and a pitcher of beer, and just hang out and talk. There is a whole other seating area away from the bowling lanes, and I think that's kind of nice. Its like you're in your own little biome. And if that seating area is filled with screaming children who are running around everywhere because some parents don't make their younguns sit and behave when they go out (personal pet peeve I have, not a critique on the bowling alley, bowling alleys can't raise peoples kids), then there is still a separate SEPARATE area to sit that is kind of partitioned off, and it will at least muffle their shrill little screams enough that you don't get an immediate headache. Also there's a little arcade area that looks cool.
The pizza itself, in my opinion, is some of the best you can get in town. I say that with the full knowledge that I have not tried every pizza in town. However, I do like this pizza and they have some unique variations that seem fun and playful. They also have some food varieties outside the pizza zone if you're looking more for sammies, fries, onion rings etc, so don't feel like you have to be married to pizza if you go there.
Like I said, I haven't been to the lanes, but they look well maintained, and they are always being at least somewhat used everytime I come in (they are often packed), so the serious bowlers out there don't seem to have anything to complain about.
I really like this place, and I intend to keep swinging in from time to time for some...
Read moreI scheduled a field trip with 22 third and fourth graders to go and bowl as a reward for a year long accomplishment. I had scheduled it weeks in advance. We got detained at our previous location because students were needing to use the restroom. Also, the bus ride across town took longer than expected. When we arrived we were about 20 min. late. We waited (all 22 children along with 2 teachers to be helped). After more than 10 min. someone finally acknowledged we were there, I was told they cancelled our reservation. They then told me about their late policy and said our reservation had been cancelled. I had not been informed of this policy when scheduling. I also asked why no one had called me because they had my cell phone. They said they had called me. When I showed them I had no missed calls and I had had my phone in my hand all day, I was told they must have dialed the wrong number. My students were so sad! He finally told me I could have 2 lanes that were on opposite sides. He said 16 students could bowl. I asked him which 7 students I should not let bowl. He (the manager) said that is the best he could do. We left with very disappointed kids! I quickly called Bowl Ero that was across town. After explaining the situation, they told me that they could accommodate us. So thankful for Bowl Ero. The establishment so much nicer in atmosphere. It is so much larger, cleaner, and better in every way. The price was the exact same, but better in every other way! I will never return to...
