Cant say it was a good experience...Upon arrival, as I was checking in another guest came to the front desk saying that his room had no toilet paper. No problem, it happens. Until I got to my room to find the same thing. In my mind, thats a bit of a red flag indicating that housekeeping didn't exactly do everything they should have. So of course I knew I had to check on other things in the room. There was no fitted sheet on the bed...which to me seems a bit odd but maybe it happens. Instead there was just 3 top sheets stacked on each other so when I got on the bed and moved around so did the sheets and uncovered the bare mattress underneath...I will spare you the details on what I saw there. Also went to fill up by ice bucket and found that the previous occupants ice bag was still in there and full of some pretty nasty looking water. The ice machine itself also could have used a wipe down given the amount of buildup on it. Also, I advise that you just ask for a fresh set of towels as mine were stained. There was also a lounge chair that I wouldn't even set my stuff of due to the white stains all over it...dripping down the sides and all.
The fridge did not work so be aware of that possibility. It took about 5 tries for the keys to work. I saw every guest struggling with that. Also there are no elevators and maybe I missed it but that's not obviously posted anywhere on the website. No biggie but just something to keep in mind.
IF you decide to stay here please do not book through any method other than calling them directly. When I booked, I booked online through what I thought was their website. Turns out it was through a third party website and the issue I had with the bill upon checkout (that I was assured was taken care of when I checked in) was "not their fault because I prepaid). If I prepaid then I should have gotten my receipt at check-in, not a paper bill passed under my door on the last day which by the way, someone could easily reach under due to the 3 inch gap at the bottom.
I will say other than one rude employee at checkout (who admittedly I was probably short with as well given my frustration over the whole experience) the customer service was good. They offered me cookies and soup which I thought was sweet. When I struggled with my keys and called the front desk from the second floor, she delivered the keys to me rather than me having to carry all of my stuff downstairs. They even called my room an hour after check in to see if I needed anything.
You may be wondering at this point why I didnt request a room change? I was dead tired and only needed a place to lay my head. Plus, my work paid for this room and dealing with a refund in my fiscal department was the last thing I wanted to do after the day I had. I sucked it up!
I didn't expect anything glamorous, I just wanted to be comfortable without breaking the bank but until they can improve the cleanliness of the place, id suggest...
Read moreWe chose this hotel because of price the day before our stay. A room will sell for about $80 if you book ahead but we ended up paying $145 for a (small) king suite. This is definitely older and was built with construction economy in mind. I'm guessing about 25-30 years old, maybe older with outdated browns and yellow finishes. It has been maintained reasonably well although it could use a good carpet cleaning in the hallways and rooms. Beware that there is no elevator in this 2-story hotel. The evening desk clerk told me that the management has removed all the hair dryers which is extremely unusual for hotels in this day and age; our room did not have one. The room, although a suite, was small with low ceilings and a small bathroom with no exhaust vent (a pet peeve). But the HVAC worked well, with the fan able to stay on continually. The room was clean but there were stains on the carpet and even a few small stains on the sheets, although they were clean. The bed was OK but not super comfortable. I was impressed with the security; the outside doors were locked and guarded and the magnetic stripe key card worked to open it. We had a quiet stay, although the hotel looked full. It is located adjacent to I-15 but at a lower elevation so the highway noise doesn't seem to be a problem, although we were on the opposite side. The service was decent for the most part, I talked to the front desk clerk and the maintenance man, and saw the general manager arrive at 7:00 AM. However when we reserved the room we requested early check-in by calling the hotel directly. The evening desk clerk apparently never passed on that information and we ended up arriving about 10 minutes after the normal check-in (3PM) and there were no king suite rooms ready except one on the second floor. My wife struggles with stairs so this was a challenge and we couldn't wait for another room due to an appointment with friends. A hot breakfast was served and the eggs and sausage patties were fresh. Selection of cold items was minimal but it was adequate. Overall I would choose another hotel to the east of I-15 in the future by booking ahead for about what we paid. But it served the purpose for a...

I followed Google Maps and it took me to the location perfectly. But as I turned off the main road, I was a bit nervous because it looked like I was going into a ghetto slum area. The building however stood out against the neighborhood surroundings and it looks really good.
I got a business Suite with a king and it was really nice. There was a lot of space to stretch out and relax in. The room was clean.
The reviews for the breakfast buffet we're greatly overstated. It was not good. They had cereal and muffins and hard-boiled eggs and breads and Waffles and some eggs and sausage. I get that that sounds good, but the hard boiled eggs tasted like chemicals and were hard and rubbery. The sausage was cold even though it was kept in the warmer. The eggs were also pretty cold even though they were in the warmer as well. The eggs are definitely not real eggs. They tasted terrible. They are definitely made from some kind of powder or some fake something. I was not a fan at all. I would have rather paid $30 more for my room and got a real breakfast somewhere then read the reviews and got breakfast here.
The pool was nice and they had a hot tub. I did not check out the fitness room although they have one. The ice machine worked and they had water out for people to drink all night long. That was a nice touch.
The customer service was okay, some people were better than others. The lady who gave me my room key cards was frustrated with me because I told her they didn't work and that I tried them both ways and she still thought I was the problem. I then told her that another kind worker who was in the hallway tried them for me and couldn't get either of my key cards to work and that he used his master key card and struggled to get it to work. She finally reprogrammed my cards and then...
