It's all about seafood. I love that! The service was great. The food was just ok. I wanted halibut but was informed it was not prepared fresh like the cod. There are no amenities. The paper goods are just white paperboard with no branding. "Go for the food!" I kept saying to myself. So let's break this down fair and square. My cashier was extremely helpful. I've traveled the world and am a bit spoiled when it comes to fish. I respectfully understand that I am in Idaho Falls and not ordering grilled giant scallops in Shanghai. The fish was a nice thick cut, and it wasn't dry. The shrimp were respectfully sized but a bit over battered. The clams were from a food service company like the halibut, but they were good. The cocktail sauce was ketchup mixed with dry mustard. It was pretty disappointing. The fries were actually awful for this reviewer. Cold and tasted like they had been dipped back into the vat to warm and had a rubbery texture. Kind of shocked me. The coleslaw had no flavor and was served in a tiny paper cup. I was glad the portion was small because I ate two bites and just didn't want it. Three stars for food. I understand they have a food truck, and they seemed overly busy with that. I will be back to try some of the other items. Some people like a heavy batter, and I didn't care for it. Skip the coleslaw. Ask for fresh fries. I have been a fan of this restaurant for over 20 years. When you walk in, you will not be overwhelmed with decor or ambience, but what you were going to find is amazing seafood at a reasonable price.

This is my first time eating here, since I moved away 10 years ago, and I was delighted to find that, despite new ownership, the food was as good as I remembered. I have traveled all over the country, and their clam chowder is probably the best I have ever had . If you were planning to eat here, I would suggest highly that you add the clam chowder to your order. You will not regret it. I ordered the two piece cod and it came with fries and coleslaw. Everything was fresh and delicious. Our table was clean and staff was quite friendly and helpful! They had made a mistake with one of our orders, and provided us with their dessert turnovers to even everything out and they are the only place that is still making turnovers in the deep fat fryer. I had the BlackBerry, which was delicious and everyone else had the Apple, and they said they were also quite amazing. They said they taste like the apple turnovers used to taste at McDonald's before they decided to be healthy lol!

All their fish is caught and frozen at sea, sent from Reykjavik, Iceland. How do I know? I ask every place that serves fish before dining there. As a former Bering sea fisherman, it is rare to find good quality fish at this price! Most companies find it to expensive to supply that to their customers. Criss cross fries are fresh, golden and crispy once received with the fish. you can smell the batter is made daily and fresh, clearly taste no preservatives, I have to say, the BEST fish ever in Idaho and Utah combined!
