We recently had dinner here because we were craving a good, juicy, thick hamburger, and what better place to get one than at a specialty burger place, right?! NO! The burgers we were served were AWFUL! Sooo thin, overcooked, and dry! It wasn't any better than something you'd get at Burger King or the likes!! We both ordered their namesake burger, the Bacon and Blue (NOT the stuffed) again, this should be the best of the best, right? NO! When ordering, we asked what temp the burgers were cooked to because we weren't asked what our preference was. Our server said Med. Neither one of us wanted bloody burgers, so we asked for med-well, not knowing how thin the patties were. As soon as they were put down, I could tell how dry they were going to be! Then, the fries were soooo overly salted, I hardly ate mine, and I LOVE a good french fry (who doesn't, right!?). Another personal issue for me is the absolute lack of ADA accessibility this place has!! I'll start with the parking lot...the only space with a ramp onto the sidewalk is at the farthest end of the parking, away from the door. But then, once on the sidewalk... you can not get down to the door because there isn't enough clearance on the sidewalk to pass all the posts. A wheelchair, or even a walker, can not fit through the space that's left. Then... there are only steps to get into the front door! Once inside, you end up on a landing of sorts with the only options to any seating being DOWN steps to one dining area, or UP steps to another. All in all, I have no idea how this place has almost 5 stars! That certainly wasn't the case the night we went. If a great burger is what you are craving, there are MUCH better options in town!!

You know how you drive by a place and say, “man I have intended to stop here but just haven’t done it “ well if Bacon and Bleu is that place stop passing by and stop in you won’t be disappointed unless it’s because your like me and took our sweet time before we stopped. Very clean and inviting. The young people working there were very timely seating us and getting our drinks after we had a minute to take in our surroundings. This place could house large groups and smaller gatherings as well. So if that’s your need this is a good place to start looking. They need to work on the birthday song it was kind of short. The little kid who birthday it was said so. The food was yummy and hot. We had a stuffed burger that was thick and yummy. My wife and I shared the burger and still took half of it home. The home cut fries were yummy and they have fry sauce for us lovers. Nothing special there but it was good to see them being the bottle not just a little paper cup. If I was the complainer sort the music was a touch to loud and makes you have to talk a little louder to be heard. It wasn’t a bother but we have some friends that would have asked to moved so that’s a thought. The prices were good for the amount of food received and it had good flavor. I didn’t ask for a military discount so that I don’t know if they have. I also didn’t use the bathroom so no info there. However the place is very clean so I’ll venture out and say that it probably extends to there as well. One can hope right. Limited parking is probably a drawback since it’s located in a semi residential area on one side and a park on the other so if the lot is full you will need to find some parking on the street or in the park parking lot.

This "family" restaurant does not have suitable high chairs for your Littles. I was given the pictured high chair, strap for the middle was broken and the seat belt was as well. I put my son in it anyways because he is fully capable to sit on his own and eat and ive never had an issue before. I was eating and looked over and he slipped through the front, was hanging by his neck. It happened fast so he was fine but it was traumatizing. I was given another high chair and the front had the strap but the seat belt was again, broken. I spoke to the manager who expressed no empathy and no apology. I told her to not give these high chairs to customers unless they are fixed because it's a safety Hazzard. She said the child should have been in a booster seat and asked if the food was ok. I know they don't care about losing a customer but they did and hopefully those with kids will think twice about it too. The food is fine, 5 guys is better, but this is better than red Robin if that helps. Too much salt on fries and burgers get the bun soaked. ______________________ Reply I appreciate the apology truly. I am glad to hear you are trying to fix the problem. However when I was there it truly did not seem to matter to you or that you cared in the moment and that can make or break a customers view of hospitality especially with a mother and child. Yes it was his neck holding him on that bar otherwise he would have slipped which I also did mention. Thanks for responding and I hope this is a learning moment for customer experiences and equipment management.

First off, I am all for supporting a local business. We were extremely excited to try a new restaurant, especially a family-owned one! That being said, the visit was still pretty disappointing.

I understand that the restaurant is brand new and they are still figuring things out, but perhaps they need a little more time. My first point is; I don’t believe the wait staff can keep up with the current demand. We received our menu when we were first sat down, then waited for quite some time to submit our order. We ordered the country fried bacon appetizer, and were not made aware that they were out of country gravy until they brought the appetizer to our table. If we had a heads up, we wouldn’t have ordered it and chosen something else.

Second, the stuffed burgers are very tasty (this is honestly what is turning a two star review into a three star). My wife had the bacon and bleu, and I had the southwest. When my wife bit into her burger, hot grease shot out, scalding her hand and staining her shirt, both on the front and on her sleeve. On top of that, I don’t think the burger is “$13 good”.

Third, our order took a LONG time to come out. Again, I understand that this is a new eatery, but we barely had any contact with our waitress during this time. No update, nor any apology. I suspect that they had a hard time keeping up with orders, because our fries came out incredibly greasy as well. They unfortunately didn’t have enough time to drain after coming out of the fryer.

This being said, the food was very tasty and the staff, while a bit absent, was very friendly. I don’t know if I’d come back for quite some time. I think I’ll give them a chance to get a few things straightened out first.

DISCLAIMER: We came on a Friday night, so perhaps it would have been a better experience on another night...
