Blue Sky Bagels — Restaurant in Idaho

Walked away pretty disappointed from my favorite location on Chinden today...been here many times and never had such awful customer service. The place was dead with only one customer seated and one already being helped in front of me when I stepped in 'line.' I was only coming in to have my kombucha filled up so I didn't stand in the normal food line as there wasn't a line anyway aside from the customer mentioned above... I stood there somewhere between 5 to 10 minutes while they chatted before another customer came in behind me and I still hadn't even been acknowledged and they proceeded to help that customer and then ring him up which was 2 ft in front of me without acknowledging me still. Then proceeded to ring up his girlfriend separately still without acknowledging me at this point I walked out....with 2 Associates behind the counter this seemed pretty ridiculous. I'm an optimist and not one to complain much but this was a stretch....I won't be...

My wife and I have been here multiple times over the past few years. The service and bagels have never let us down.

Today was a fantastic experience, busy holiday weekend. It is Sunday, I believe the owner was working the register this morning waiting on another staff member to come in. (Who showed up as my wife and I were leaving)

My wife had a bagel with cream cheese and I had a breakfast sandwich style bagel.

That being said, it was our turn to pay and the gentleman advised oh the system just crashed so if she finishes making it before system is up the bagels is on us. Well guess what she was done way before the system was back up.

I offered to pay cash he said nope don’t worry about it. So my wife and I went to the car and got cash and came back and put the cash in the tip jar.

Great food as always, great service with a smile and the owner was great to deal...

No food no service no atmosphere.

Went in at 2:00 on a Sunday making sure it wasn’t too close to closing. I was invisible I guess. There was three people and I stood at the counter ready to order for close to 5 min. One person was ringing the previous customer up and the was training another employee. During “training” they walked up to the counter in front of me and took the cutting board to teach the other person how to clean it. Then those two went to the back. Still not greeting me or even noticing me or even acknowledging me to help me understand they were busy and would be right with me. After close to 5 min I turned and walked out hoping I might get stopped. Bad business. Don’t be open if you don’t want the business. Just at least acknowledge someone when they are waiting. I would have waited 10 min if they acknowledged me and said they will be...
